Launching the Future of Taxi Services in Jeju: T-money GO and Integrated Call System

T-money announced on the 14th that it had conducted a launch ceremony for ‘Jeju Integrated Call X T-money GO On-Demand Taxi’ with the Jeju Individual Taxi Union and Jeju National Assembly member Moon Dae-rim in attendance.

Earlier this year, T-money promised to enhance ESG management for mutual growth with regional taxi markets across the country, and is now introducing the ‘regional co-prosperity model’ of T-money GO On-Demand Taxi in Jeju.

T-money conducted the launch ceremony for ‘Jeju Integrated Call X T-money GO On-Demand Taxi’ on the afternoon of the 13th at Iho Tewoo Beach in Jeju. The event was attended by more than 300 members, including Chairman Kang Seung-woo of the Jeju Individual Taxi Transportation Business Union, taxi union members, and the chairman of the Jeju Aewol Call group. Also present were Jeju Transportation and Aviation Bureau Chief Kang Seok-chan, National Assembly member Wi Seong-gon, elected member Moon Dae-rim, and Executive Director Jo Dong-wook of T-money’s Mobility Department.

Through the launch of ‘Jeju Integrated Call X T-money On-Demand Taxi’, T-money and the Jeju Individual Taxi Transportation Business Union will mutually cooperate to improve taxi mobility services in Jeju, contribute to taxi traffic administrative policies, and enhance the Jeju taxi industry. This is expected to provide better taxi services and improved taxi-calling services for Jeju residents and tourists. The T-money taxi payment system will enable QR payments in collaboration with WeChat Pay and UnionPay, significantly improving convenience for foreign tourists, including Chinese visitors.

Executive Director Jo Dong-wook of T-money’s Mobility Department remarked, “T-money GO has already earned recognition for high service quality with over 10 million cumulative members,” expressing hope that the launch of ‘Jeju Integrated Call X T-money On-Demand Taxi’ will serve as a new stimulus for the Jeju taxi industry.

Furthermore, Chairman Kang Seung-woo of the Jeju Individual Taxi Transportation Business Union stated, “T-money GO is a mobility super app, and T-money is a representative good company that grows in harmony with the struggling regional taxi industry,” expressing his commitment to ensure that all parties—taxi industry, Jeju residents, and tourists—can smile through collaboration with T-money.
