Introducing the All-New Defender OCTA: The Most Powerful Performance Yet!

‘All-New Defender OCTA’

JLR Korea has announced that the Defender will unveil the All-New Defender OCTA, a new high-performance off-road model, later this year.

The new flagship model, the All-New Defender OCTA, aims to be the most robust, high-performing, and luxurious model in the Defender lineup, breaking into a new realm for the brand.

Mark Cameron, representative of the Defender brand, stated, “The Defender has inherited the lineage of the Series 1 launched in 1948 and has established itself as the epitome of all-terrain driving performance. The All-New Defender OCTA will elevate the Defender to a higher level with its dramatic stance, innovative technology, and meticulous attention to detail. Its overwhelming performance and bold design will offer customers the ultimate luxury adventure.”

The All-New Defender OCTA features a mild hybrid system with a V8 twin-turbo gasoline engine and best-in-class 6D dynamics air suspension, delivering extreme performance on any terrain. The 6D dynamics, a first for the All-New Defender, provides unparalleled driving performance, comfort, and ease both on and off-road.

The hydraulic interlink 6D dynamics technology incorporates an innovative pitching and rolling control system that keeps the vehicle close to a horizontal position during acceleration, braking, and cornering on the road. Moreover, it maximizes independent wheel movement and articulation on extreme off-road terrains.

The model name of the All-New Defender OCTA was inspired by the octahedral shape of a diamond, one of the world’s hardest and rarest natural materials, reflecting the vehicle’s luxurious characteristics.

The new circular diamond graphic symbolizes the flagship Defender. This graphic is applied throughout the interior and exterior, including glossy black diamonds set within the machined and sandblasted titanium discs of each signature graphic panel. Additionally, titanium was chosen for its exceptional durability and resilience in its natural state.

Mark Cameron emphasized, “The name and signature graphic of the All-New Defender OCTA symbolize the vehicle’s robustness and sturdiness. The new signature graphic, which we have first introduced with the All-New Defender OCTA, is especially significant as it will define the upcoming flagship Defender models.”

Meanwhile, the All-New Defender OCTA is undergoing the toughest performance tests in history, from the snowy and glacial terrains of Sweden to the deserts of Dubai, the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, and the rocky landscapes of Moab, Utah, USA.

Before its first unveiling at the end of this year, a new global Defender Elements series will be opened for potential customers to privately preview the All-New Defender OCTA. Interested customers can inquire at their nearest authorized dealership.
