Unveiling the Upgraded Tesla Model 3: A Stunning Leap Forward in EV Design and Performance

‘Tesla Upgraded Model 3’

Tesla Korea officially announced the launch of the upgraded Model 3, a mid-size electric sedan, on April 4, beginning order acceptance. The upgraded Model 3 is a refreshed version of the original Model 3, boasting significant design and functionality enhancements after five years since its launch in Korea in 2019, significantly improving user convenience.

The upgraded Model 3 is available in two trims in Korea: the rear-wheel drive (RWD) trim and the all-wheel drive Long Range trim. Customers can choose based on their preferences or driving conditions, from the reasonably priced RWD model to the Long Range model optimized for long-distance travel.

The specifications of the upgraded Model 3 indicate that the Long Range version offers a maximum driving range of 488 km according to Korea’s certification standards, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. Notably, ride comfort has improved dramatically compared to previous models, offering a quietness similar to that of luxury sedans.

The exterior design has also undergone significant improvements. Thanks to aerodynamically optimized body lines, the upgraded Model 3 boasts the lowest drag coefficient among Tesla models. The uniquely wing-shaped headlight design enhances visibility during driving, while the integrated tail lamps at the rear of the vehicle and the Tesla word logo highlight the sleek design of the Model 3.

The interior design has been extensively updated as well. An enveloping wrap-around design and first-ever ambient lighting in a Tesla vehicle enhance comfort levels. Like Tesla’s flagship models, the Model S and Model X, the upgraded Model 3 features streamlined controls where stalk and gear levers are replaced by steering wheel and display controls, providing a cleaner and more convenient driving experience. Moreover, a second-row display has been added for rear-seat passengers to control airflow and access entertainment features.

The pricing for the upgraded Model 3 is as follows: ▲RWD 51,990,000 KRW ▲Long Range 59,990,000 KRW, and with subsidies applied, it can be purchased at an even more reasonable price. Orders can be placed on the Tesla website, and consultations and test drives are available at Tesla stores nationwide (in areas such as Sinsa, Yeouido, Hanam, Bundang, Daegu, Busan, and Jeju). Deliveries are expected in the second quarter of 2024.

Meanwhile, Tesla Korea is launching the Model Y Long Range and Performance trims alongside the upgraded Model 3. With the release of all S, 3, X, and Y models in the Korean market after about ten months since last July, consumers can expect a broader range of options.
