  2. Apply the cleaning solution with the included scrubbing pad
  3. Wipe clean with a microfiber cloth
  4. Apply the protective coating spray
  5. Allow to dry

Real-World Results

Many users have reported impressive results with this kit. Let’s take a look at some of their experiences:

Wow. Just wow. Look at the 2002 Nissan maxima with oxidized headlights. Now this product literally takes 20-30 minutes to do. Great value for money and we can use it on at least 2-3 cars. So definitely good to use vs buying new assemblies.

This worked for me, but I combined items in two kits to get a good result. Neither were expensive. After reading way too many reviews, I decided to use a modified method. I’ll describe this hybrid approach below. The headlight lenses on my 2008 Honda CR-V were not too bad, about half was moderately oxidized. I double masked the area so that I didn’t damage the adjacent painted or plastic parts. First, 3/4 inch tape to get close, then 1-1/2 inch over it to protect it and give a bigger area for final masking (spraying).

A Common Scenario: The Aging Family Car

Imagine this: You’ve had your family car for over a decade. It’s been reliable, comfortable, and filled with memories. However, lately, you’ve noticed that nighttime driving has become more challenging. The headlights seem dimmer, and the road ahead isn’t as clear as it used to be. You’re faced with a decision: replace the entire headlight assembly at a significant cost, or try a restoration kit.

This is where the Meguiar’s Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit shines (pun intended). For a fraction of the cost of new headlights, you can restore your existing ones to near-new condition. Not only does this improve the safety of your nighttime driving, but it also gives your trusty family car a facelift, potentially adding years to its lifespan.
