Daimler Trucks AG Achieves Record-Breaking Sales in 2023

Daimler Trucks AG announced its results for the year 2023 on the 29th of last month. According to the announcement, Daimler Trucks AG achieved record-breaking revenues and operating profit in 2023.

Despite ongoing supply chain bottlenecks, the Daimler Trucks AG group recorded a total global sales of 526,053 units in 2023, an increase of approximately 1% compared to the previous year (2022 annual sales: 520,291 units). Moreover, the company sold a total of 3,443 eco-friendly trucks and buses, which is a staggering 277% increase from the previous year (2022 sales: 914 units). Additionally, in 2023, the company reached an all-time high annual revenue of €55.9 billion, a 10% increase year-on-year (2022 annual revenue: €50.9 billion).

Martin Daum, Chairman of Daimler Trucks AG, stated, “Following last year, 2023 has been a record year for Daimler Trucks, achieving outstanding results. In the future, we will continue to strive for market normalization while maximizing our potential to provide our customers with the best profitability possible.”

Meanwhile, Daimler Trucks AG is the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, owning various commercial vehicle brands under its umbrella, including Mercedes-Benz. In 2023, Daimler Trucks AG introduced several new eco-friendly vehicle models, expanding its global product portfolio to ten types. A notable model is the long-distance, large electric truck, Mercedes-Benz ‘eActros 600’, which was unveiled first in Europe. The hydrogen truck Mercedes-Benz ‘GenH2’, which can travel approximately 1,047 kilometers on a single charge of liquefied hydrogen, has also received global acclaim as the company continually works towards leading the transition to eco-friendly transportation.

Daimler Trucks Korea, the Korean branch of Daimler Trucks AG, has been well-received in the domestic market since its launch in 2003, offering premium commercial vehicle brands such as Mercedes-Benz, including the Actros, Arocs, and Atego truck lineups, as well as specialty-purpose trucks like the Unimog. The company is also committed to the timely introduction of electric trucks to successfully lead the transition towards a future free of harmful emissions.
