’25 Chevrolet Trax Crossover’

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2025 Trax Crossover, featuring a special edition model and new connectivity services, and has officially begun sales today.

Yoon Myung-ok, General Motors Korea’s marketing manager, stated, “The Chevrolet Trax Crossover is setting new standards in the well-performing crossover segment in both domestic and international markets and is a key model for GM Korea. The redesigned model, which emphasizes stylish appeal, will continue to be the top choice in the entry model market this year.”

The 2025 Chevrolet Trax Crossover adds a new Redline trim to the existing LS, RS, and ACTIV trims. The Redline Edition, which operates throughout Chevrolet’s product portfolio, was initially introduced as a concept at the SEMA Show in 2015, later becoming a special edition due to tremendous audience response.

The exterior of the Trax Crossover REDLINE features a gloss black finish on the grille, grille bar, outside mirrors, and skid plate inserts, combined with a red stripe on the grille, red outliner black Trax lettering, and a roof rack, emphasizing dynamic design with bold red and black colors.

The interior features gloss black IP and front door decor panels, a black bowtie emblem on the steering wheel, and Jet Black & Red Point Cool Gray synthetic leather seats, creating a modern and impactful atmosphere.

Despite being an entry model, it boasts conveniences such as 3-stage heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, full-auto air conditioning, rear air vents, push-start & smart key systems, dual USB ports for the second row (charging only), and a luggage board, enhancing usability along with a striking interior/exterior design.

The 2025 Chevrolet Trax Crossover also introduces the OnStar service. This service provides an expanded digital experience, including remote control (start, door locking, horn & hazard lights), vehicle condition information (driving records, tire pressure, fuel level, engine oil life, fuel efficiency), and vehicle diagnostics through a mobile app.

Since its introduction in the U.S. and Canada in 1996, OnStar has combined vehicle communication and has expanded its service to regions like China, South America, and the Middle East, now serving over 5.6 million paid subscribers worldwide.

The OnStar service in the domestic market will feature digital activation capabilities designed to connect vehicle and mobile connectivity services more easily and quickly, making it the first of its kind in GM’s global markets. The club process, previously requiring time-consuming calls and waiting, has been digitized, allowing customers to seamlessly experience OnStar service with just a few touches in the mobile app without needing assistance.

OnStar will be standard on the ACTIV and RS trims and is expected to launch in the first half of this year, offered free for two years. GM plans to gradually introduce OnStar service to all new models launched in the domestic market starting with the 2025 Trax Crossover, with details on free service duration and scope to be updated later.

The Trax Crossover has been a mega-hit in the global market, combining the styling of a sedan with the performance of an SUV. It holds a significant position in Chevrolet’s global lineup, designed to target a broad range of consumers worldwide with stylish design optimized for various lifestyles, exceptional space utilization, and premium options that transcend class boundaries.

With a wide and low stance, muscular body lines, a sloping roof line, and sleek side proportions, the Trax Crossover reflects premium design elements while offering various choices like RS and ACTIV tailored to consumer lifestyles, receiving acclaim from both domestic and international media and markets. Additionally, it features a mid-size body with a total length of 4,540 mm, width of 1,825 mm, height of 1,560 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, providing a spacious interior and loading space, making it a representative model that leads the entire crossover segment.

The powertrain features the new 1.2-liter E-Turbo Prime engine, producing 139 horsepower and 22.4 kg•m of torque, paired with a GENⅢ 6-speed automatic transmission. This combination ensures adequate performance while achieving an excellent fuel economy of 12.7 km per liter (based on the 17-inch model) and recognition as a third-class low-pollution vehicle for various benefits.

The interior configuration and conveniences resemble those of premium vehicles. The design includes a driver-centric 8-inch floating color cluster connected to an ergonomic 11-inch color touchscreen, enabling seamless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration without the need for USB cables through wireless phone projection.

Additionally, features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for external noise reduction, auto hold, a power liftgate, front seats with ventilation and heating, and lumbar support with power adjustment for the driver’s seat enhance comfort, providing features typically not found in entry models.

Chevrolet’s brand strengths of robust fundamentals and safety are also included. GM has incorporated computer simulation into body structure design, understanding where loads are placed during driving to reinforce those areas while reducing weight in others through ‘smart engineering’ applied to the Trax Crossover. This allows for a lighter and more rigid body despite increasing dimensions compared to similar models, delivering excellent safety, agility, and efficiency along with a spacious interior.

The prices for the 2025 Chevrolet Trax Crossover are identical to the previous model year: ▲LS 21,880,000 KRW, ▲ACTIV 28,210,000 KRW, ▲RS 28,800,000 KRW, and the newly added ▲REDLINE is priced at 25,950,000 KRW.
