INEOS has launched the Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab, a double cab variant designed to appeal to vehicle conversion specialists and commercial body builders.
Developed alongside the Grenadier Quartermaster pickup truck, the Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab is designed to offer the best off-road performance and load capacity in its class, combined with the comfort, safety, style, and functionality that modern drivers expect.
George Rackliff, Commercial Director of INEOS Automotive, stated, “Over the past year since the launch of the Grenadier, we have witnessed numerous specialized conversion examples in emergency service sectors such as fire, police, and coast guard,” adding, “The launch of the Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab is a natural next step in providing our off-road expertise to the various sectors that require the best off-road vehicle in its class.”
The Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab comes with a wheelbase of 3,227mm, which is 305mm longer than the Grenadier Station Wagon, exposing a trapezoidal frame chassis behind the passenger compartment. This allows customers and aftermarket vehicle conversion companies to apply various conversion options to a robust body with a towing capacity of 3,500kg.
The Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab is set to be produced at INEOS Automotive’s facility in Hambach, France, which was acquired from Mercedes-Benz in January 2021. It shares the production line with the existing Grenadier model and includes a five-passenger seating area, a full box section trapezoidal frame chassis, solid beam axles, a two-speed transfer case, and up to three locking differentials, similar to the Quartermaster. Additionally, it features all-wheel drive with a BMW 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF.
