Kumho Tire Unveils EnnoV: A Revolutionary Tire Brand for Electric Vehicles

Kumho Tire announced today the launch of ‘EnnoV’, a dedicated tire brand for electric vehicles. The term EnnoV is a combination of ‘ELECTRIC’ signifying electric and ‘INNOVATION’, encapsulating Kumho Tire’s innovative technology within this premium EV brand.

EnnoV is the world’s first next-generation tire for electric vehicles that applies HLC technology to all specifications within a single product. This High Load Capacity (HLC) technology is designed to withstand higher loads under the same air pressure conditions compared to standard products, optimizing performance for high-load vehicles such as electric cars. Kumho Tire has developed EnnoV based on HLC technology, surpassing the limitations of electric vehicles and ensuring stable performance across all metrics.

Three products from EnnoV will be launched: the all-season EnnoV PREMIUM, the winter-specific EnnoV Winter, and the long-range EnnoV SUPERMILE. Among them, the EnnoV PREMIUM is particularly groundbreaking, being the first in the world to incorporate HLC technology across all 29 sizes, delivering exceptional driving performance, comfort, durability, and low fuel consumption across any driving condition.

EnnoV incorporates ‘tire noise reduction technology’ that disperses noise generated in tire grooves through a dimple design and minimizes resonance noise through the attachment of K-Silent technology, which consists of a polyurethane foam inside the tire. The pattern design interpretation system enhances both driving and wear performance. Furthermore, to maximize both fuel efficiency and comfort, an EV-specific compound featuring high-dispersion precision silica has been used, significantly improving wear performance and braking strength compared to standard products, thus enhancing driving stability.

CEO Jeong Il-taek stated, “EnnoV is an innovative product from Kumho Tire designed with technology optimized for electric vehicles, and it will lead the market in the era of future mobility.” He further added, “In the future, we will continue to provide electric vehicle drivers with the best driving environment based on differentiated technological capability and quality competitiveness.”
