Discovering Busan: Lotte Rental Car Introduces Local Hotspots for Travelers

Lotte Rental has announced that starting this year, employees from Lotte Rent-a-Car will recommend domestic travel destinations to provide a differentiated brand experience for consumers and to promote domestic tourism.

Utilizing the largest nationwide sales network in the industry, local Lotte Rent-a-Car employees will recommend travel courses and food options that can be enjoyed with rental cars. Beginning in March and continuing through June, September, and December, a total of four attractive tourist destinations across the country will be introduced. Selected regional tourist attractions, restaurants, and cafes will be revealed through the Lotte Rent-a-Car integrated app, website, and social media channels.

The first region is Busan. Like Seoul, Busan is a popular destination for foreign tourists visiting Korea. As Korea’s representative maritime city and the second-largest city in the country, Busan is not only surrounded by the sea but also abundant in mountains, making it a destination with many attractions. Given that countless domestic and international tourists visit every year, we have chosen Busan as the first region to allow customers to enjoy beautiful nature, unique food, and various attractions through Lotte Rental’s unparalleled services.

Lotte Rent-a-Car’s Busan KTX station, Haeundae branch, and Gimhae Airport branch suggest three travel courses that allow visitors to fully enjoy the beautiful natural scenery and springtime in Busan.

The first recommended course starts with a beach train from Blue Line Park, visiting the “Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory” and “Haedong Yonggungsa Temple,” before concluding at “Ahopsan Forest.” This route offers a chance to explore Busan’s famous landmarks. If timed right, you can enjoy stunning sunrises or sunsets alongside breathtaking ocean views.

The second course begins at the “Songdo Yonggung Cloud Bridge,” selected as one of the top 100 attractions for Korean tourism in 2023-2024. After appreciating the natural beauty created by waves lapping at your feet and unique cliffs, visitors can walk on the “Songdo Skywalk,” which offers thrilling ocean views, and ride the “Songdo Marine Cable Car” to fully immerse themselves in Busan’s coastal scenery.

The final recommended course features the millennium-old temple “Jangansa,” which has been around since the Unified Silla period. Located in Gijang County, Jangansa is especially loved by Busan citizens during spring for its breathtaking cherry blossoms. Free parking is also available. According to the Weather Eye, the expected cherry blossom blooming date in Busan for 2024 is March 22, which is about six days earlier than usual.

Hidden local gems recommended by Busan’s local employees include: △ a clam grill at Songdo Amnam Park that exudes an old-fashioned charm, △ chewy jolly noodles with a rich broth and savory tofu kimbap, △ a place known for its fresh stone crabs and cooling stone crab soup, and △ a snack shop run by a master of egg dumplings with over 40 years of tradition in Seodong Miro Market, as well as uniquely Busan-style dining establishments. For dessert and coffee, highlights include: △ a handmade red bean and chestnut rice cake that is filling yet not overly sweet, △ a trendy dessert shop that features thin rice cakes filled with soft ice cream, △ a tea house where you can enjoy traditional flavors while watching trains pass by outside, and △ a view cafe in Gijang that has won a Korean Architectural Culture Award, providing not only great flavors but also an excellent atmosphere.

Details on the attractions and dining spots introduced by Lotte Rent-a-Car can be found on their social media channels.

Additionally, a promotion titled ‘Come on over, let’s go!’ is being prepared for customers renting Lotte Rent-a-Car in Busan. Until April 18, if you rent a medium or larger car (2.0) for one day (24 hours) or more from any of the following locations: △ Busan KTX station, △ Haeundae branch, or △ Gimhae airport branch, a 50% discount on the rental fee will be applied. If customers leave a review on Naver or Google, an additional 5% discount will be applicable, allowing for a total discount of up to 55%. Foreigners are also welcome to participate in this promotion.

A representative from Lotte Rental stated, “We planned this to introduce domestic travel destinations that can be enjoyed with car rentals using Lotte Rental’s largest nationwide sales network and to provide the best service to our rental car customers. We hope for much interest and participation in the regions we will introduce following Busan starting this March.”
