SKT Accelerates AI-Driven B2B Expansion with Innovative Solutions

SKT is aggressively expanding its AI-based B2B business by launching various new B2B services and securing numerous corporate customers.

SK Telecom has released its all-in-one subscription AI Contact Center (AI Contact Center, hereinafter AICC) service, “SKT AI CCaaS”, and an “AI Copywriter” that automatically generates advertising phrases.

In particular, SK Telecom has won the AICC project of SK Rent-a-Car and secured customers like SK Stoa and Benepia for its AI Copywriter, demonstrating visible achievements in the AI business within the B2B sector.

‘SKT AI CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service)’ is a service that provides all necessary functions and solutions required to operate an AICC in an all-in-one package, including call infrastructure, consultation apps, AI solutions, dedicated lines, consulting personnel, and system operation services.

The AICC integrates advanced AI technologies into traditional contact centers, incorporating features such as voice recognition technology that converts customer voice to text, AI chatbots and call bots that automatically respond to simple customer requests, and technologies that provide optimal answers to customer inquiries, followed by summarizing and analyzing the conversation content. Many companies are adopting AICC owing to its various advantages, such as reducing customer consultation time and increasing the efficiency of consultants.

Unlike on-premise solutions, ‘SKT AI CCaaS’ is a cloud-based subscription service that does not require separate infrastructure, allowing small and medium-sized enterprises to adopt AICC at a lower cost. Corporate customers can choose only the necessary AICC solutions, such as chatbots, or initially adopt some functions like consultation apps and gradually build up the AICC.

The first corporate customer for ‘SKT AI CCaaS’ is SK Rent-a-Car. SKT plans to establish SK Rent-a-Car’s AICC in an all-in-one format that includes all required functions and solutions specified by the corporate customer.

Alongside this, SKT has also launched an ‘AI Copywriter’. The ‘AI Copywriter’ is a generative AI service based on large language models (LLM) that creates advertisements or promotional phrases in just a few seconds. For example, by inputting brief information such as service name, promotion details, customer age, and marketing channels, effective promotional phrases are generated instantly.

The ‘AI Copywriter’ can generate tens of thousands of advertising phrases monthly and can be immediately integrated into customer platforms. Corporate customers can use their current marketing platforms to request advertising phrases and receive the materials without having to build separate service infrastructure.

Using the ‘AI Copywriter’ can alleviate the workload of marketers in the commerce industry, such as those in home shopping or online shopping malls, who need to create promotional phrases for numerous products and improve the quality of marketing content, according to SKT.

The companies that decided to implement the ‘AI Copywriter’ this time are also commerce firms like SK Stoa and Benepia. SK Stoa expects that the ‘AI Copywriter’ can significantly enhance its marketing efficiency, while Benepia stated, “It will enable sophisticated personalized marketing reflecting the consumption tendencies and preferences of employees who are the primary customers of the corporate welfare platform Benepia.”

The ‘AI Copywriter’ is a product specialized in ad phrase creation, derived from the enterprise and public generative AI platform ‘Enterprise AI Market’ launched by SKT in January. It has adapted the know-how and customer requests accumulated while operating the ‘Enterprise AI Market’ to offer a customized service for ad phrases, including customer feedback data regarding ad phrases, phrase specifications suitable for marketing channels like text and homepages, and operating methods directly integrated into customer platforms.

Lee Gyu-sik, in charge of SKT’s AI Contact business, stated, “The speed at which companies adopt AI is increasing for improved work efficiency and productivity” and added, “Going forward, we will continue to launch various AI services tailored to corporate needs, such as AICC and AI Copywriter, to lead to visible achievements.”
