As the cherry blossom bloom season approaches, starting with Jeju, interest is focusing on the best cherry blossom spots for outings or dates.
Green Car has selected various cherry blossom destinations based on data from Green Car users over the past three years during the spring season. They are also running various events to support spring travel through the Green Car app and official social media channels.
During the past three years, the regions with the highest number of car rentals per vehicle during the spring season were Gwangju, Gyeongnam, and Gyeonggi. Notably, the rental numbers from the Green Zones at Gimpo in Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, and nearby Jeju Airport have also increased compared to other seasons, indicating a growing demand for spring travel that connects flights and car-sharing services. Another noteworthy point is that the rental share of users aged 35 and over has increased during the spring season, surpassing 50% of total rentals last year. This suggests that the car-sharing customer base is expanding across all age groups.
Based on members’ vehicle rental data, Green Car recommends major cherry blossom spots in five areas: Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gwangju, Gyeongnam, and Daejeon.
The earliest bloom in Gyeongnam includes ▲Jinhae Gunhangje Festival ▲Gimhae Gaya Theme Park ▲Jinju Wolla Mountain Natural Recreation Forest ▲Sacheon Seonjinri Fortress. The Jinhae Gunhangje Festival begins on March 23rd. For Gwangju and Daejeon, blooming is expected from the last week of March with spots like ▲Mudeungsan ▲Uchi Park and ▲Bomunsan ▲Daecheongho. For Seoul and Gyeonggi, which are about to see full bloom in the first week of April, the selected spots are ▲Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival ▲Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival ▲Anyangcheon ▲Gwanggyo Lake Park.
Green Car is running an SNS event to support a more convenient and enriching cherry blossom travel experience. The [Cherry Blossom Spots] event on Green Car’s official Instagram offers the first 100 participants (starting March 20) a discount coupon valid until April 20. Participants can summon friends and comment for a chance to win a total of 15 prizes: 5 free 4-hour Green Car rentals and 10 ice cream mobile coupon giveaways. A 45% discount coupon for Green Car, valid for 6 hours or more, can be downloaded from the Instagram profile link and used immediately through the app.
A Green Car representative stated, “In conjunction with the national spring cherry blossom season, we introduce the cherry blossom sites across the country for customers going out with friends, partners, and family.” They also encourage participation in the ongoing events on Green Car’s official Instagram and blog for a wealth of benefits.
