BMW Motorrad Unveils New Middleweight GS Motorcycles: The Exciting 2024 F Series

BMW Motorrad introduces the new touring enduro models ‘New F 800 GS’, ‘New F 900 GS’, and ‘New F 900 GS Adventure’ as part of their middleweight lineup.

The ‘New F 800 GS’, ‘New F 900 GS’, and ‘New F 900 GS Adventure’ are successors to the previously released F 750 GS, F 850 GS, and F 850 GS Adventure, offering enhanced performance tailored to each model’s concept, ensuring a pure riding pleasure for riders.

The new GS models of the F series are equipped with the latest twin-cylinder engine, delivering dynamic riding performance. The engine displacement increases to 895cc, with the New F 800 GS outputting a maximum of 87 horsepower, while the New F 900 GS and New F 900 GS Adventure boast an impressive 105 horsepower.

All models come standard with an adjustable gear shift lever for optimal riding positions across varied riding environments. Additionally, the New F 800 GS and New F 900 GS Adventure incorporate Dynamic ESA, allowing for intelligent, active electronic control of riding dynamics by considering road conditions and the rider’s weight for safer and more dynamic driving.

The new GS models offer two riding modes, ‘Rain’ and ‘Road’, and come standard with cornering-optimized ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), dynamic brake lights, and Riding Mode Pro. Notably, the Riding Mode Pro feature allows riders to experience additional riding modes, presets, engine drag torque control, and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) for an even more exhilarating performance.

BMW New F 800 GS

The BMW New F 800 GS follows the legacy of the existing F 750 GS and inherits the name from the original F 800 GS which initiated the F series GS lineup. The New F 800 GS comes equipped with a 6.5-inch display with connectivity features, allowing riders to conveniently access various riding information.

Additionally, with a low seat height of 830mm, novice riders can enjoy stable riding, and essential safety and convenience features like Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), hand guards, and heated grips come as standard.

New F 900 GS

The BMW New F 900 GS stands out among the new GS series with its remarkable changes, featuring a complete redesign that emphasizes enhanced off-road capabilities and sporty performance, while also visually reflecting a lighter body.

The New F 900 GS harmonizes a simple yet high front design in the style of rally motorcycles with a sleeker rear frame, creating a more dynamic and agile impression. The LED headlight at the front is designed to provide wider illumination for improved visibility ahead.

Moreover, the ergonomic triangle (handlebar, seat, footrest) configuration is optimized for off-road riding position, with lower footrests and elevated handlebar height, along with a newly designed fuel tank to provide a stable posture in rugged environments that require standing while riding.

To reduce vehicle weight, a lightweight plastic fuel tank was integrated, decreasing weight by approximately 4.5kg, alongside new rear design, lightweight swingarm, and Akrapovic exhaust muffler, resulting in a total vehicle weight of just 219kg, which is 14kg lighter than the previous model.

Customers purchasing the New F 900 GS can opt for the ‘Enduro Pro Package’, which enhances off-road performance with additional specifications, including a sporting frame, black handlebar risers, and M endurance chain.

New F 900 GS Adventure

The BMW New F 900 GS Adventure showcases an even sportier design, with slimmer side panel designs reflecting the new GS logo.

The New F 900 GS Adventure is equipped with a 23-liter fuel tank and includes the ‘Riding Pro Package’, which features cruise control, keyless riding functionality, and additional LED headlights, optimizing it for long-distance travel.

Furthermore, both long-distance riding stability and simplified adjustments for spring preload and damping rebound can be achieved with the application of upside-down forks, allowing optimization for various riding conditions. The time it takes to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h is just 3.7 seconds.

The launch prices for the three new GS motorcycles in 2024 are as follows: New F 800 GS ranges from 17.3 million to 17.6 million KRW, New F 900 GS from 20 million to 20.6 million KRW, and New F 900 GS Adventure for 24 million KRW.
