Volkswagen has collaborated with Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment to participate in the new action blockbuster series of the MonsterVerse, Godzilla X Kong: New Empire. The Volkswagen ID.4, its all-electric SUV, will make a fresh appearance in this film as part of the new cast.

Godzilla X Kong: New Empire features ‘Godzilla’ and ‘Kong’ joining forces against an unimaginable colossal threat, showcasing the ultimate teamwork in this action-packed blockbuster. The trailer, released last December, has already amassed over 100 million views and is drawing significant attention worldwide as it ranks first in foreign movie advance bookings ahead of its global release on March 27.

As a sequel to the 2021 film Godzilla vs. Kong, the returning cast and crew promise an upgraded and entertaining experience, raising anticipation about how the newly introduced Volkswagen ID.4 will charm audiences in the film. Volkswagen has also developed a short-form content series to strengthen its commitment to global electrification while solidifying its partnership with the movie.

The ID.4, Volkswagen’s first all-electric SUV, continues the legacy of the brand’s “car for everyone” philosophy with its reasonable purchase price, long range, exceptional efficiency due to high energy consumption, and an abundance of advanced safety and convenience features. This year, the ID.4 has proven its marketability and efficiency by receiving the largest subsidy in the domestic imported electric vehicle segment, supported by enhanced subsidy policies.

Meanwhile, Volkswagen has been actively forging partnerships in the film industry as part of its new brand positioning. They collaborated with the beloved animated series Miraculous, popular in over 130 countries, based on the ID. family lineup, and the high-performance all-electric ID.4 GTX was featured as the family car of Scott Lang’s family in Marvel’s superhero film Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
