Hyundai Motor Company has announced the launch of the 2024 Kona, which has been further enhanced for marketability and will begin full-scale sales.

The 2024 Kona features a new trim called ‘Modern Plus’ that increases practicality, making safety and convenience features standard across different trims.

The newly added Modern Plus is based on the entry-level Modern trim and includes customer-preferred features such as ▲Power driver’s seat ▲Ventilated front seats ▲Safety power windows (front) as standard, improving its marketability.

Hyundai has also made the second-row air vents standard on the Modern trim, while popular features such as a fabric roof and 18-inch alloy wheels (excluding hybrid models) are standard on the Premium trim. Moreover, the highest trim, Inspiration, now comes with a vibration alert steering wheel as standard to enhance safety.

The optional ‘Hyundai Smart Sense’ advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) now includes the vibration alert steering wheel, which can be selected in the ▲Modern ▲Modern Plus ▲Premium trims.

Particularly, Hyundai has reduced the selling price of the 2024 Kona Modern trim by 400,000 KRW to lower the purchasing burden. Despite adding some safety and convenience features to other trims, the prices have been frozen, raising the overall competitive edge of the product.

The selling prices are as follows: for the gasoline 1.6 turbo model, ▲Modern 25,160,000 KRW ▲Modern Plus 25,800,000 KRW ▲Premium 27,790,000 KRW ▲Inspiration 31,200,000 KRW; for the gasoline 2.0 model, ▲Modern 24,460,000 KRW ▲Modern Plus 25,100,000 KRW ▲Premium 27,100,000 KRW ▲Inspiration 30,510,000 KRW.

The 1.6 hybrid model prices are: ▲Modern 29,590,000 KRW ▲Modern Plus 30,230,000 KRW ▲Premium 31,780,000 KRW ▲Inspiration 34,950,000 KRW. (*Prices for hybrid models reflect tax incentives applied)

A Hyundai representative stated, “The 2024 Kona has increased overall product competitiveness by adding the Modern Plus trim, which combines popular features and by making customer-preferred features standard. We believe these enhanced product qualities and economic benefits will further increase customer satisfaction.”
