Unleashing Performance: The New BMW X1 M35i xDrive Arrives in Korea

‘New X1 M35i xDrive’

BMW Korea officially launches the high-performance premium compact SAV ‘New X1 M35i xDrive’, equipped with the powerful performance of BMW M and enhanced digital convenience.

The New X1 M35i xDrive is the first high-performance model from the BMW X1 lineup to be showcased in Korea, featuring exclusive BMW M design elements both inside and out to emphasize a sporty sense, with an enhanced dynamic driving performance characteristic of BMW M.

The exterior of the BMW New X1 M35i xDrive exudes sporty appeal through the application of M-specific dynamic design elements. The front vertical double-bar kidney grille featuring the M logo together with M-exclusive front spoiler and side mirrors create a striking impression. Additionally, features such as 19-inch bi-color wheels, M-exclusive quad tailpipes, and roof spoiler complete its dynamic charm.

The interior too emphasizes BMW M’s motorsport feel, equipped with M aluminum hexacube light interior trim, a M leather steering wheel with paddle shifters, M door sills, and M pedals. The BMW Curved Display combines a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch control display, offering the driver high visibility, while the floating armrest integrated with gear selector and control panel provides ample space along with a futuristic ambiance.

Additionally, the front seats come with massage functions as part of their active sports seats, while the rear seats allow for angle adjustments, ensuring comfort for both driver and passengers. The trunk boasts versatile usability, starting with 540 liters of storage space and expandable to a maximum of 1,600 liters when the rear seats are folded down, while the powered trunk can be operated with a foot gesture.

The New X1 M35i xDrive is equipped with BMW’s latest operating system, BMW Operating System 9 (BMW OS 9). This new system features an easier, more intuitive user interface and a natural voice command system that allows users to operate and control vehicle functions comfortably, similar to a smartphone. It also provides a digital experience optimized for individual lifestyles through a wide range of services, including on-demand vehicle features, music, news, and games.

‘New X1 M35i xDrive Interior’

The BMW New X1 M35i xDrive features the Korean-version BMW navigation system based on TMAP, developed in partnership with TMAP Mobility. This innovative navigation system updates all map information, including traffic conditions, in real-time, providing route guidance tailored to the domestic traffic situation. For electric vehicle models, it offers charging-optimized routing and other specialized features for vehicles.

This new Korean BMW navigation system will continuously provide fresh customer experiences through regular updates.

Powering the BMW New X1 M35i xDrive is the M TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine, generating a maximum output of 317 horsepower and maximum torque of 40.7 kg·m, combined with a 7-speed Steptronic transmission featuring a double-clutch system that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.

Moreover, the intelligent all-wheel-drive system, BMW xDrive, incorporates a mechanical LSD (limited-slip differential) on the front axle, providing high traction in off-road or bad weather driving. It also offers excellent agility and dynamic handling performance on corners.

The standard adaptive M suspension system includes mechanically controlled adjustable frequency dampers, effectively absorbing minor road shocks while ensuring comfortable responsiveness, even during sporty driving.

Additionally, the Driving Assistant Professional feature includes steering and lane-keeping assistance, along with the latest BMW head-up display. The Parking Assistant Plus provides parking distance alerts and surround view functionality, ensuring safe and comfortable driving experiences.

The starting price for the BMW New X1 M35i xDrive is 71.5 million won (including VAT).
