Polestar 3 Enters Full-Scale Production: A Milestone for the Electric SUV

The Polestar 3, a large electric performance SUV, has officially entered full-scale production. Starting in mid-year, additional production plans are set to commence at the factory in South Carolina, USA, having recently successfully completed initial production tests.

Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, stated, “The commencement of production for the incredibly attractive Polestar 3 is a significant advancement and milestone in our journey from being a ‘One-car company’ to a ‘Three-car company.’ Furthermore, we are smoothly progressing with our production plans for the Polestar 3, having completed preparations at our factory located in Ridgeville, South Carolina, USA.”

The Polestar 3 is the first Polestar model to be manufactured across two continents, supporting growth from North America to Europe and Asia. The timeline for its domestic launch is yet to be determined and will be announced later.

The Polestar 3 is the brand’s first SUV and embodies Polestar’s capabilities and technology as a flagship SUV. Equipped with air suspension as standard, it maintains comfort across diverse driving environments while delivering Polestar’s unique dynamic driving experience. Based on a dual-motor powertrain, it boasts a powerful performance of up to 517 horsepower (hp/380kW) and 910Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 111kWh lithium-ion battery, targeting a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 610 km on a single charge. Additionally, it supports advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) based on NVIDIA centralized computing technology.
