Hyundai and Hankook Tire Form Partnership for Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Tires

Hankook Tire has signed a business agreement with Hyundai Motor Company regarding the supply of tires for certified pre-owned vehicles.

The two companies held a signing ceremony on February 29 at the Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, with key stakeholders in attendance, including Lee Yong-kwan, Senior Vice President of Hankook Tire’s PC/LT Sales Division, and Hong Jung-ho, Senior Vice President of Hyundai’s Domestic CPO Business Division. They will leverage their top-tier technology as leading tire and finished vehicle brands in Korea to establish a high-quality supply system for certified pre-owned vehicles.

Through this agreement, Hankook Tire products will be equipped on Hyundai and Genesis brand vehicles that require tire replacement during the merchandising process of the certified pre-owned vehicles purchased by Hyundai. For passenger vehicles, the ultra-high-performance premium tire ‘Ventus S2 AS’ and the all-season balance tire ‘Kinergy ST AS’ will be used, while the premium comfort tire ‘Dynapro HPX’ and the on-road SUV tire ‘Dynapro HL3’ will be fitted to SUVs.

‘Ventus S2 AS’ from Hankook Tire is an ultra-high-performance tire that combines dynamic high-speed driving performance with excellent ride comfort, providing optimal driving performance with tire grip technology and handling tailored for flagship vehicles. ‘Kinergy ST AS’ is designed to achieve a balance of excellent mileage (tire life), fuel efficiency, and stable driving performance.

‘Dynapro HPX’ is a premium tire that supports the best driving performance throughout the year with perfect handling, comfortable ride, quietness, and winter performance. ‘Dynapro HL3’ demonstrates excellent grip and handling performance on both dry and wet roads and supports stable high-speed driving performance.

Hankook Tire expects that this partnership with Hyundai will enhance vehicle performance through the supply of its products, which are recognized for their top-tier technology and premium brand value on the global stage, while also contributing to boosting consumer confidence and transparency, which are core values of the used car market.
