New Year Initiative: Free Airport Bus Rides for Children and Teens

An event will be launched to promote public transport usage in the new year.

Tmap Mobility, in collaboration with the Incheon International Airport Corporation, is conducting a ‘Free Airport Bus Ride Promotion for Children and Teens’.

The two parties planned this promotion to help relieve the burden of purchasing tickets for family travelers using the airport bus during the winter holiday and Seollal (Lunar New Year) periods. This promotion also considers the significant increase in the use of private cars to the airport after COVID-19, and aims to encourage public transport usage while alleviating passenger inconvenience caused by parking congestion during peak seasons.

The promotion applies to passengers aged 6 to 18 who pre-book tickets for the airport bus to Incheon International Airport through the TMAP airport bus app and dedicated website, available from January to March. For example, a family of four (2 adults and 2 teens) can purchase tickets at a 50% discount compared to standard prices.

Meanwhile, TMAP airport buses completed an order for two hydrogen buses in October of last year, aiming for pilot operations in the first half of this year. Additionally, continuous enhancements will include congestion information at the airport, flight information integration, and the addition of a multilingual version for foreign travelers in the second half of the year.

Park Si-dam, in charge of Tmap Mobility’s airport bus operations, stated, “We will do our best to ensure airport bus users can travel conveniently and safely to their destinations,” and added, “We will continue to enhance the TMAP airport bus reservation and payment services to actively promote public transport usage.”
