Lotte Fine Chemical has extended its contract to exclusively supply its UROX AdBlue product to BMW Korea as original equipment.

With this contract renewal, UROX will continue to provide the urea solution used in all diesel vehicles officially sold by BMW Korea.

Due to proactive measures in addressing the urea supply issues that arose last month, securing the largest possible quantity of urea through contracts with countries like Vietnam, Lotte Fine Chemical’s Sales Team Leader Jang Nam-joo was awarded the Minister of Strategy and Finance Award. He stated, “With the quality management of urea sourced from various countries such as Vietnam, Japan, and Saudi Arabia being crucial at this moment, urea produced by a reliable company would be a safe choice,” adding, “We will supply the best urea solution to ensure customers purchasing BMW Korea vehicles can feel secure.”

Recently, UROX has not only extended its supply agreements with Mercedes-Benz and Volvo but has also continued to be the chosen supplier of urea solution for numerous global automotive manufacturers, including Scania, MAN, Stellantis, as well as domestic manufacturers like Hyundai Kia and Tata Daewoo, thereby recognizing its quality and value.

Meanwhile, UROX holds the permanent trademark rights to ‘AdBlue,’ a global quality standard for urea solutions established by the German Automotive Industry Association. UROX has been the top-selling brand in Korea for 15 consecutive years (according to data from the Ministry of Environment) and has held the number one position in the ‘Brand Power of Korean Industries’ survey for urea solutions for five consecutive years, thus maintaining customer trust.

Urea solution is used as a catalyst in the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system of diesel vehicles, helping to remove nitrogen oxides (NOx), one of the primary components causing particulate matter in exhaust, thereby greatly contributing to atmospheric environmental improvements.
