Porsche Korea has held the ‘2023 Technicians’ Skills Competition’ to enhance customer service capabilities and strengthen the technical competitiveness and expertise of technicians.

This year’s ‘2023 Technicians’ Skills Competition’ was the first event of its kind since the establishment of Porsche Korea. It aimed to provide competitive service to customers and motivate technicians to improve their skills, with technicians from 14 official service centers across the country competing in this year’s event.

In June, Porsche Korea conducted a theoretical test on understanding Porsche vehicles and their functions and technologies for 119 technicians, with the top 12 advancing to the finals. The practical test, held on November 9, evaluated the diagnostic abilities, problem-solving skills, and teamwork of six teams using various equipment.

The three teams that won the grand prize will receive various benefits to enhance their technical competitiveness. The team from Stuttgart Sports Car, consisting of technicians Moon Kyung-deok and Kim Jin-soo (Porsche Service Center Bundang), will participate in the training program ItoP (Introduction to Porsche) at the headquarters in Germany.

The second place was taken by technicians Lee Tae-jin (Porsche Service Center Changwon) from Deutsche Motors and Jang Min-seok (Porsche Service Center Daegu) from Autostadt, who will participate in the Porsche Experience Center program in Japan. Heo Hyun-soo and Oh Jin-sung (Porsche Service Center Daechi and Incheon, respectively) from Stuttgart Sports Car secured third place.

Holger Brandt, After Sales Director of Porsche Korea, stated, “Through the inaugural ‘Technicians’ Skills Competition,’ we were able to confirm the excellent understanding and skills of the technicians regarding Porsche vehicles and also foster communication among them.” He added, “Porsche Korea will continue to strive to provide all customers with reliable, systematic, and professional services.”

Porsche Korea operates a total of 14 service centers nationwide in collaboration with five official dealers: Stuttgart Sports Car, Autostadt, Deutsche Auto, YSAL, and Seyoung Mobility. Notably, in October, Porsche Center Seongsu and Porsche Studio Songpa were opened as part of ongoing efforts to enhance customer experiences.
