Unveiling the Refined Elegance of the 2024 Genesis G80 Facelift

New G80

On the 13th of the month, Genesis officially unveiled the design of the G80 facelift model.

The G80 is a refreshed model that enhances the competitiveness of the third-generation variant, first launched in March 2020, and is making its debut after approximately three years and nine months.

The design incorporates Genesis’s philosophy of ‘dynamic elegance,’ building upon the existing model with meticulous and glamorous details, resulting in a more completed design.

The front features a crest grille that utilizes a dual mesh structure, accentuating sophistication. The two-line headlamps, symbolic of Genesis, are reborn with MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology, showcasing a perfect harmony of advanced technology and design.

The side profile flaunts dynamism reminiscent of an airplane’s propeller with new 20-inch 5 double-spoke wheels that complement the parabolic line profile, demonstrating impeccable balance.

The rear incorporates a hidden-type muffler within the rear diffuser, along with a chrome V-shape inspired by the Genesis crest grille design, creating a clean and polished image.

Inside, the G80 reflects Korea’s traditional beauty of ‘margins’ infused with high-tech sensibilities, offering a luxurious space that enhances the driving experience.

The G80 features a sleek horizontal layout emphasizing comfort and cleanliness, with a 27-inch integrated wide display that connects the cluster and AVN screen, presenting an image of sophisticated modernity.

The center fascia, seamlessly designed to extend from the 27-inch integrated wide display, adds high-tech aesthetics and incorporates a touch-type climate control system to enhance operability and convenience.

The electronic shift dial (SBW) with a crystal design and the integrated controller (CCP) provide easy handling while maximizing visual luxury.

On this day, Genesis also unveiled the ‘G80 Sports Package,’ which enhances the sporty character by applying dynamic interior and exterior elements.

The front headlights of the G80 Sports Package feature MLA (Micro Lens Array) type LED lamps, similar to the G80, while the crest grille incorporates a ‘Double Layered G-Matrix’ pattern radiator grille and an expanded air intake grille, emphasizing a high-performance vehicle image.

The rear sports an imposing new bumper and diffuser design, further elevating the sporty charm of the G80 Sports Package, while the dark garnish wrapped around the lower section sharpens the outline, maximizing dynamism as a sports sedan.

Inside, the G80 Sports Package is equipped with a dedicated D-cut steering wheel and two types of carbon garnish (red/silver) that enhance sportiness.

Both the G80 and G80 Sports Package are available in a total of 10 exterior colors, including a new color called ‘Brooklyn Brown,’ and each comes with 4 interior color options.

A Genesis representative stated, “The G80 has been the most loved model since the inception of the Genesis brand, and we are confident that this time it will meet customer expectations with high-quality interior and exterior designs and competitive product value.”

Genesis plans to release the detailed specifications of the G80 in line with its launch.
