Kia Unveils Future Mobility Vision at CES 2024

Kia will showcase its future vision for sustainable PBV mobility solutions under the theme of “All Set for Every Inspiration” at the upcoming 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2024) starting this January.

This marks Kia’s return to CES after five years, having last participated in 2019. Following the company’s rebranding in 2021, this event will focus on conveying Kia’s PBV vision and business strategies with the fresh brand identity.

In response to the increasingly diverse market and customer demands, Kia has identified PBV as a core business initiative to evolve into a software-based future mobility company and is building a dedicated business system around it.

At CES 2024, Kia will redefine PBV as “Platform Beyond Vehicle,” aiming to propose new businesses and lifestyles that transcend conventional vehicles by providing experiential value through PBV.

Kia plans to outline the phased roadmap and business strategies for PBV, which will be pivotal for its future endeavors, showcasing a lineup of various PBV models for the first time during the exhibition from January 9 to 12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Specifically, Kia will premier a total of five PBV models at CES 2024, including three mid-size PBV concept cars, one large PBV concept car, and one small PBV concept car.

In addition, technologies such as ‘Easy Swap’, which allows for the transformation of vehicles previously used as taxis into dedicated delivery mobility, and ‘Dynamic Hybrid’, which enables the assembly of various vehicle sizes tailored to customer needs for small-batch production, will also be exhibited, alongside various Kia EV models at the outdoor exhibition booth.

Detailed information about Kia’s sustainable PBV mobility strategy will be unveiled during the “Kia CES Media Day” event, held on January 8 at 3 PM (local time) at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
