In 2024, electric vehicles will be launched in succession from mainstream to luxury brands. It’s the beginning of an all-out electric vehicle war.

Hyundai will launch the Ioniq 7, the final piece in its Ioniq series. The Ioniq 7 is built on Hyundai’s electric vehicle dedicated platform, E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform), and it is the first large electric SUV from Hyundai, offering a range of 500 km based on the WLTP standard. The Ioniq 7 is expected to be released in the first half of next year.

Kia EV3 Concept

Kia, on the other hand, will launch small electric vehicles, the EV3 and EV4, next year. Both models will be priced around 30 million KRW, making electric vehicles more accessible to customers and playing a vital role in expanding the electric vehicle market.

The import car market is also set to overflow with electric vehicles. Volvo’s EX30 will be released within the second quarter of next year. The EX30, a small electric SUV from Volvo, will utilize sustainable materials and is expected to signify Volvo’s shift towards an all-electric brand by 2030. Additionally, the EX30 will have a price around 40 million KRW, qualifying for subsidy support and playing a key role in expanding the imported electric vehicle market.

The electric vehicle brand Polestar will launch the Polestar 3 SUV and the coupe-style Polestar 4 within next year. Stellantis will light the fuse for its electric market expansion with the first electric SUV “Avenger” from Jeep and the urban electric SUV “e-3008” from Peugeot.

Cadillac plans to launch the Lyriq, which will be the brand’s first mid-sized electric SUV capable of exceeding 500 km of driving range based on the WLTP standard.

Range Rover EV

Land Rover is preparing to release the Range Rover EV, which will be the electric version of the existing Range Rover, providing a new option in the domestic luxury SUV market.

Audi will introduce the Q8 e-tron in South Korea. The Q8 e-tron is a large electric SUV that, alongside the smaller Q4 e-tron, will cater to both small and large segments of Audi’s electric models.

Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the luxury large electric SUV, the ‘Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV.’ This will be the first electric model from Maybach and is expected to serve as a significant turning point in the luxury car market’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
