Mercedes-Benz Brings Holiday Cheer Through Community Service Initiatives

The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee has successfully concluded its employee-driven community service initiative, ‘Mercedes-Benz All Together,’ with the participation of over 100 employees from across the Mercedes-Benz network this year, actively promoting sharing within the local community.

‘Mercedes-Benz All Together’ was launched alongside the inception of the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee in 2014, and has been dedicated to community development for over nine years in collaboration with the social welfare corporation Children and Future Foundation.

In celebration of the year-end, the committee organized a variety of activities, including ‘Traffic Safety Mural Painting’ in October with the participation of over 50 employees aimed at creating safe walking routes for local marginalised communities. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz employees continued their service activities with ‘Santa Day’ for child welfare facilities, storytelling volunteer work called ‘Heart Echo,’ and ‘Love Birthday Party’ for disabled facilities.

During this year’s 10th anniversary of ‘Santa Day,’ 22 employees from KCC Auto, an official dealer, visited the ‘Hyangjinwon’ child welfare facility in Incheon. They provided winter clothing to help children and adolescents enjoy a warm winter, and presented a memorable event with Christmas gingerbread house making and a magic show.

A child from Hyangjinwon, a beneficiary of the Mercedes-Benz All Together program, expressed, “The kind uncles and aunts from Mercedes-Benz create joyful memories every winter, making Santa Day a time I always look forward to. I hope the relationship with Mercedes-Benz continues, bringing warm gifts to all my friends at Hyangjinwon every year.”

Furthermore, since 2016, the ‘Heart Echo’ program has engaged 15 employees from the official dealer The Class Hyosung to perform storytelling for 50 children and youths at the visually impaired school ‘Hyegwang School’ in Incheon. Meanwhile, 10 employees from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Korea participated in the ‘Love Birthday Party’ at the Integrated Welfare Center for the Disabled in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. They personally delivered winter supplies along with handwritten letters, sharing warmth with disabled families.

Looking ahead, the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee plans to strengthen the ‘Mercedes-Benz All Together’ program as it celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2024, expanding company-wide efforts for community development.
