Continental Unveils the All-Weather Tire ‘AllSeasonContact 2’ for Confident Year-Round Driving

Continental will launch its all-weather tire, the ‘AllSeasonContact 2’, on January 1, 2024, promising confident driving throughout every season.

The newly introduced ‘AllSeasonContact 2’ is developed with a focus on delivering optimal driving performance regardless of weather or road conditions, emphasizing high fuel efficiency, safety, and enjoyable driving experiences. Compared to its predecessor, mileage has improved by 15%, and rolling resistance has been reduced by 6%, both contributing to lower fuel consumption. The balanced all-weather compound enhances safety while maintaining the excellent ride comfort and winter performance of its predecessor, while improving handling and braking performance on dry and wet surfaces.

This new product incorporates various innovative technologies from Continental. First, it features smart energy casing technology utilizing high-efficiency energy materials to create an optimized tire structure.

Additionally, the chili blend compound technology, developed through careful selection and combination of cutting-edge compounds, delivers outstanding grip and braking performance. The adaptive tread design combines a V-shaped pattern with open shoulder grooves for optimal drainage performance and self-reinforcing C-block technology, ensuring a smooth driving experience regardless of the weather or road conditions, including snow, wet, and dry surfaces.

Jae-hyuk Kim, head of domestic sales at Continental Tire Korea, stated, “The ‘AllSeasonContact 2’ is the first all-weather tire that Continental is launching in the domestic market, aimed at providing every driver with a confident driving experience by considering all vehicle and engine types during development as a premium product. We will continue to set new benchmarks in the industry with various innovative technologies and products.”

Meanwhile, the ‘AllSeasonContact 2’ will be available in a range of sizes from 15 inches to 21 inches.
