Discover the Green Lifestyle Market: Lexus Korea Hosts Ecological Event

Lexus Korea will hold an eco-friendly lifestyle market called the ‘Sik(食)Sik(植) Market’ in collaboration with ‘Lexus Young Farmers’ on the 1st floor of the Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, from November 4th to 5th.

This year’s ‘Lexus Young Farmers’ program focuses on spreading awareness regarding eco-friendly consumption values. As part of this, the ‘SikSik Market’ showcases crops grown using sustainable agricultural methods, vegan food options, and zero-waste living products.

The market will feature a total of 12 Young Farmers recognized for 2023, including Kim Bit-na (Iksan, Jeollabuk-do, strawberries), Kim So-ra (Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, sweet persimmons), Kim Hu-ju (Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, pears), and Oh Jae-sung (Seogwipo, Jeju, Hallabong oranges), along with 36 diverse sellers offering healthy food and eco-friendly living products.

Additionally, visitors to the market can participate in programs like ‘Create Your Own Terrarium’ and ‘Decorate Your Cookie Cup,’ providing an eco-friendly ‘Eating(食) and Planting(植) Experience.’ The ‘Lexus Young Farmers’ initiative, which began in 2018, aims to discover and support young farmers who cultivate produce with a nature-friendly philosophy across the country.

At the SikSik Market, a talk concert featuring broadcaster Julian, who participated in shows like ‘Talk Portal 25’ and ‘Non-Summit,’ along with writer Mu-gae, who brings important messages to everyday life through works such as ‘Hello, Han’ and ‘A Home-Like House,’ will take place. The concert will address ‘Sustainable Lifestyle’ and the benefits that our daily meals provide to ourselves, the environment, society, and the future. Anyone visiting the market can attend the talk concert freely without prior registration.

Lee Byung-jin, Managing Director of Lexus Korea, expressed, “I am delighted to convey a message that emphasizes living an eco-friendly life in everyday life to numerous visitors at the SikSik Market with various sellers, including Lexus Young Farmers.” He added, “In the future, Lexus aims to hold various social contribution events and programs to propose a sustainable future and promote eco-friendly lifestyles.”

Meanwhile, Lexus continues to engage in various environmental social contribution activities, including supporting Young Farmers who practice carbon neutrality through eco-friendly cultivation methods. At the Lexus cultural complex ‘Connect Two,’ fresh and diverse seasonal desserts and healthy drinks are offered, consistently sharing the value of a sustainable environment with visitors.

Since June 2019, the Connect Two store has been promoting a ‘Zero Waste Campaign’ to practice carbon neutrality with customers in their daily lives, encouraging the use of tumblers, along with ‘Upcycling Classes’ to raise awareness on the value of recycling and highlighting the importance of eco-friendliness.
