Hyundai Motor Group has created a platform for mobility innovators to share the philosophy of human-centered future mobility.

On November 2nd (local time), Hyundai Motor Group held the ‘8th Mobility Innovation Forum 2023’ at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, USA.

The ‘Mobility Innovation Forum’ is a gathering place for innovators, startups, government officials, and investors in the mobility industry to share ideas related to mobility, initiated at Stanford University in 2016, and this year marks its 8th edition.

This forum was organized under the theme ‘Re-Vision & Re-Value,’ where participants reflected on the vision and values of the mobility industry and shared insights on human-centered future mobility innovation.

The forum was hosted by Hyundai Motor Group’s Silicon Valley innovation hub, ‘CRADLE.’

In order to discover promising startups hidden around the world, Hyundai Motor Group has established five innovation hubs named ‘CRADLE’ in the USA, Germany, Israel, China, and Singapore, and also operates ‘ZER01NE,’ which plays the role of an open innovation platform in Korea.

The forum featured key figures from the mobility industry as speakers, including Kim Heung-Soo, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Group’s Global Strategy Office (GSO), Marc Raibert, CEO of Boston Dynamics AI Research, Ken Goldberg, robotics engineer and professor at UC Berkeley, and Gary Silberg, head of KPMG’s global automotive sector.

Additionally, experts from various fields participated to discuss a range of topics including ▲ robotics ▲ autonomous driving ▲ the role of software developers in the future mobility era ▲ entrepreneurship ▲ investment strategies for future mobility.

Hyundai Motor Group also set up a startup booth to support domestic and international startups collaborating or investing by showcasing their innovative technologies and products, facilitating interactions with various participants.

In his opening remarks, Vice President Kim Heung-Soo stated, “The theme of this forum, ‘Re-Vision & Re-Value’, represents our journey of reflecting on the past and looking towards the future. Today’s forum will be a time for participants to challenge their visions and pose questions.”
