BMW Launches the All-New X1 xDrive20i: A Premium Compact SUV Experience

BMW Korea officially launches the ‘New X1 xDrive20i’, a gasoline all-wheel-drive model of the premium compact SAV New X1.

The BMW New X1 is a compact Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) that offers a top-tier driving experience in its class, featuring a sophisticated exterior, progressive interior design, spacious accommodations, and advanced driver assistance systems.

The exterior of the New X1 highlights a dynamic silhouette characterized by smoothly shaped body panels and a long roofline. The ‘L’ shaped LED daytime running lights applied to the headlights and the integrated kidney grille reveal a sporty appeal, while the three-dimensional design of the rear lights and large diffuser create a sleek rear profile.

Inside, the New X1 is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch control display that comprise the driver-centered BMW Curved Display. Complementing this are the BMW Head-Up Display and a floating armrest that integrates a newly designed gear selector and control panel, creating a forward-looking atmosphere.

Additionally, the front seats include active sports seats with a massage function, while the rear seats allow for adjustable backrest angles, ensuring comfort for both the driver and passengers during long journeys. The trunk space boasts versatile usability, starting at 540 liters and expanding up to a maximum of 1,600 liters with both rear seatbacks folded. The electric trunk can also be opened and closed with a foot motion.

The New X1 xDrive20i is powered by a BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 204 horsepower and a peak torque of 30.6 kg·m, paired with a 7-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, along with the intelligent all-wheel-drive system, BMW xDrive, providing high stability in various driving conditions.

Moreover, the New X1 xDrive20i xLine trim comes standard with the ‘Driving Assistant Plus’, which includes lane-keeping assistance and stop-and-go function as part of its active cruise control. Meanwhile, the New X1 xDrive20i M Sport trim also includes the ‘Driving Assistant Professional’ with lane change assistance and adaptive M suspension as standard. Both trims come equipped with the ‘Reversing Assistant’ function, which assists with reverse steering based on the approach route, and the ‘Parking Assistant Plus’ that supports a surround view.

In addition, the BMW Digital Key Plus is standard, allowing you to lock and unlock the vehicle, start it, and drive using only your smartphone. It also features a Remote Software Upgrade to keep the vehicle’s software up to date, along with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The BMW New X1 xDrive20i is available in two trims: xLine and M Sport, with prices set at 62.1 million won for the New X1 xDrive20i xLine and 66.8 million won for the New X1 xDrive20i M Sport.
