Introducing the Bold Redesign of the Hyundai Tucson: A Striking Evolution

The global bestseller Hyundai Tucson returns with a more sophisticated and robust appearance.

On the 21st, Hyundai unveiled the design of ‘The New Tucson’ for the first time.

The New Tucson is a facelift model introduced three years after the launch of the fourth-generation Tucson in September 2020, elevating its market competitiveness.

The New Tucson inherits the ‘Parametric Dynamics’ theme from the existing model while incorporating a sturdy and wide exterior, along with a luxurious and high-tech interior, resulting in a more completed design.

The front end features a parametric jewel hidden lamp serving as a daytime running light, with details of the radiator grill designed in a thin, angular shape, along with a bumper that stretches left and right, enhancing a strong and wide appearance.

The rear end integrates the bumper molding with the skid plate, expanding it horizontally compared to the previous model to give a wide and robust impression while maintaining a sophisticated yet solid design, enhancing visual unity with the front end.

The side profile emphasizes dynamism, with newly designed alloy wheels that harmonize with a solid and sporty character line, improving the overall proportionality.

The interior of the New Tucson showcases a new level of change, embodying a luxurious and high-tech image while emphasizing spaciousness and practicality through a horizontally oriented design.

Hyundai has equipped the New Tucson with a ‘Panoramic Curved Display’ that connects a 12.3-inch digital cluster and infotainment system in a curved form, enhancing visibility for the driver and elevating the sense of luxury. The infotainment/climate control interface combines physical buttons and knobs with a capacitive touch approach for improved usability.

The air vents that stretch thinly and long from the driver’s side to the passenger side add a high-tech feel, while the dashboard in front of the passenger features an open tray and ambient mood lighting, completing a design that evokes a cozy lounge atmosphere.

Additionally, the application of a column-type electronic gear shifter has freed up center space, creating a floating console that maximizes storage, alongside designing placement for a wireless smartphone charging system and cup holders to enhance spatial efficiency.

The New Tucson will be offered in a total of nine exterior colors, including two new colors – ‘Matte Pine Green’ and ‘Ultimate Red Metallic,’ as well as five interior color options featuring a new ‘Green/Black/Grey three-tone’ scheme.

A Hyundai representative stated, “The New Tucson aims to boldly and dynamically strengthen the already popular exterior design while enhancing the usability and luxury of the interior. We strive to establish it as the representative compact SUV of a young and dynamic Korea.”
