Unveiling the Future: BMW’s Exclusive ‘XM Label Red’ and ‘i7 M70 xDrive’ at the BMW Ladies Championship 2023

The ‘BMW Ladies Championship 2023’, Korea’s only LPGA event, will take place from the 19th to the 22nd, unveiling the ‘XM Label Red’ and ‘i7 M70 xDrive’ for the first time in the country.

BMW Korea has provided a debut stage for new models every year since the first BPGA event held in 2019. In 2022, they captivated automotive enthusiasts by unveiling the flagship SAV, ‘BMW New X7’, showcasing its grandeur and luxury for the first time in Korea. Notably, at last year’s event, Na-yeon Choi poignantly retired from LPGA, recording her fourth hole-in-one and receiving the new X7 as a prize.

This year’s championship will showcase the limited-edition ‘XM Label Red’, a high-performance SAV model exclusive to M, and the luxurious flagship sedan ‘i7 M70 xDrive’, the first of its kind in the 7 Series.

The ‘XM Label Red’ boasts the most powerful engine ever fitted into an M model, marking the 50th anniversary of BMW M. This model is fitted with a high-revving V8 gasoline engine powered by M TwinPower Turbo technology and an M hybrid system, producing a remarkable combined output of 748 horsepower and a peak torque of 101.9 kg.m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

Additionally, the combination of adaptive M suspension professional, active roll stabilization operated by a 48-volt electric motor, and the rear-wheel steering function ‘BMW Integral Active Steering’—the first of its kind on an M model—ensures agile cornering and top-tier driving stability in any situation.

Meanwhile, the ‘i7 M70 xDrive’ is the M performance model of the i7, a pure-electric luxury flagship that sets a new standard for electric performance in the 7 Series. It offers the strongest performance amongst all pure-electric models from the BMW Group, achieving a combined output of 660 horsepower while delivering an unparalleled driving experience in the luxury segment. The ‘i7 M70 xDrive’ can reach a top speed of 250 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, making it the fastest in the BMW electric lineup.

Both the ‘XM Label Red’ and ‘i7 M70 xDrive’ models are scheduled for an official launch at the end of this year.
