Lotte Fine Chemical Extends Supply Agreement with Mercedes-Benz Korea for Urux Urea Solution

Lotte Fine Chemical has extended the contract to supply its urea solution product, Urux, to Mercedes-Benz Korea.

With this contract extension, Urux will continue to supply urea solution for Mercedes-Benz Korea’s passenger cars officially sold in South Korea.

A representative from Lotte Fine Chemical stated, “We will supply the best urea solution through meticulous quality management so that customers purchasing vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Korea can feel secure.” He added, “Recently, well-known urea solution brands have received negative assessments, causing issues. Therefore, urea solutions designated as genuine parts by various automakers who strictly manage their supply chains will be a safe choice.”

Urux continues to supply genuine urea solutions to the most automobile manufacturers, including global companies such as BMW, Volvo, Scania, MAN, and Stellantis, as well as domestic manufacturers like Hyundai and Kia, thereby earning recognition for its quality and value.

Moreover, Urux holds the permanent trademark rights to ‘AdBlue,’ the international quality standard for urea solutions established by the German Automobile Industry Association. It has been ranked first in domestic sales for 15 consecutive years (according to Ministry of Environment statistics) and has been rated first for five consecutive years in the urea solution category of the Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI), demonstrating ongoing customer trust.

Urea solutions serve as a catalyst in the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system of diesel vehicles, removing nitrogen oxides (NOx), one of the causes of fine particles in exhaust gas, significantly helping improve air quality.
