BMW New 5 Series Now Available for Pre-Order in Korea

BMW Korea will begin pre-orders for the BMW New 5 Series through ‘BMW Shop Online’ starting at 3 PM on the 4th.

The BMW 5 Series is the brand’s flagship premium sedan, introduced for the first time in 1972, with over 8 million units sold worldwide. The BMW New 5 Series is a complete redesign of the model, marking its eighth generation after a six-year hiatus since 2017. It features distinctive design, a driving experience that perfectly balances sportiness and comfort, innovative convenience features, and advanced digital services.

The New 5 Series has evolved with a larger body and sharper exterior design. Compared to the previous generation, it is 95 mm longer, 30 mm wider, and 35 mm taller, while also extending the front-to-rear axle distance by 20 mm to provide a more spacious interior. The headlight design, which consists of four lights, creates a simple yet striking atmosphere, and the radiator grille lighting known as ‘BMW Iconic Glow’ harmonizes with the new BMW kidney grille, showcasing a stronger presence.

The interior combines modern design with luxury. It is equipped with a BMW Curved Display consisting of a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display on the dashboard, as well as a newly designed gear selector on the center console that minimizes physical buttons. Notably, the crystal-design BMW Interaction Bar, first introduced in the New 7 Series, conveys a luxurious feel as if the passengers are in BMW’s top-tier sedan.

Furthermore, the New 5 Series comes standard with the convenience features and driver-assistance technologies preferred by domestic consumers, enhancing its marketability.

All models come equipped with adaptive LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, travel & comfort system, and wireless smartphone charging as standard. Advanced features such as Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Plus are also included as standard to support safe and comfortable driving. Additionally, all trims of the New 520i and New 523d models will feature completely vegan interior materials for the first time in the 5 Series history.

The BMW New 5 Series will be launched in the global market for the first time in South Korea this October. The fully electric model New i5 M60 xDrive, boasting two electric motors, delivers a combined maximum output of 601 horsepower and a peak torque of 81.1 kg·m.
