KG Mobility Unveils Exciting Torres Models at 2023 Auto Salon Week

KG Mobility participates in the country’s largest automotive aftermarket exhibition, ‘2023 Auto Salon Week’.

The 2023 Auto Salon Week will take place from the 8th (Friday) to the 10th (Sunday) for three days at KINTEX, Ilsan, and KG Mobility plans to showcase various concept special models of the Torres, including the country’s first electric vehicle tuning model, ‘Torres EVX Pure Passion’, ‘Torres JANUS’, ‘Torres AZIT’, and ‘Torres BI-Fuel PILGRIM’.

Among the new models anticipated for release this second half of the year, Torres Pure Passion, based on the Torres EVX, is the country’s first electric vehicle tuning model that embodies the off-road sensibility and recreational usability that has not been seen in other EVs, styled as a traditional SUV.

The vehicle’s body is elevated for rugged terrain driving, and it features All Terrain 17-inch wheels and tires, presenting a strong off-roader image. It also incorporates V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology to power various electronic devices and can accommodate rooftop tents for convenient travel and relaxation anywhere, establishing itself as a unique electric leisure SUV in the country.

The Torres JANUS is a tuning model based on the Torres, which adds strength to its exterior while expressing the comfort and coziness of spacious interior seating. The exterior is enhanced with a body-up kit and All Terrain 17-inch tires for added robustness, featuring searchlights and a roof flat carrier for outdoor activities.

The Torres AZIT is a tuning model aimed at maximizing the spaciousness of the second-row seating area in a van-style configuration. It elevates the body and mounts All Terrain tires to depart from the image of a simple cargo vehicle, instead providing a stylish off-roader SUV vibe. Through colorful graffiti drawings, it offers a trendy aesthetic and practical utility targeted at the MZ generation.

Torres BI-Fuel PILGRIM is based on the Torres bi-fuel model that utilizes both gasoline and LPG, with its name ‘Pilgrim’ symbolizing the advantage of the Torres bi-fuel vehicle, which can travel over 1,000 km on a single charge. It is equipped for basic off-road tuning and installs roof flat carriers and travel boxes to convey the spirit of a free-spirited traveler ready to embark on adventures at any time.

During the event, KG Mobility will not only showcase the Torres tuning cars but also host various auxiliary events, including ▲ Auto Salon Week entry tickets (including a companion) for early contract customers of Torres EVX, ▲ operation of a dedicated VIP lounge for pre-registered customers, ▲ coupons for Halley’s Coffee truck, ▲ social media sharing events for the Torres outdoor experience, and ▲ mini cars in pickup style (while supplies last).

Auto Salon Week is an integrated exhibition brand combining Korea’s representative automotive aftermarket exhibitions, Auto Salon and Auto Week, covering the entire automotive aftermarket including tuning, parts and supplies, maintenance, and motorsports, showcasing a diverse range of vehicles at the country’s largest automotive aftermarket exhibition.

Meanwhile, KG Mobility held the ‘KG Mobility Tuning Festival’ in May to promote a healthy tuning culture and trends in car camping and leisure activities. Prior to that, in April, the company established KG S&C, a specialized custom vehicle corporation, and began developing and selling customization products, aiming to expand its offerings in the custom vehicle market. They are now working on developing new products, assessing market expansion opportunities, and further developing specialized vehicles based on vehicles produced by KG Mobility.

A representative from KG Mobility stated, “We are very pleased to showcase the unique characteristics of the Torres brand to visitors at this Auto Salon Week. As the car camping market rapidly expands, we will take further steps to establish KG Mobility’s territory in the tuning market and diversify our offerings to meet the evolving demands for performance tuning as well.”
