Hyundai and Kia Offer Free Holiday Vehicle Inspections for Safe Travel

Hyundai Motors (including Genesis) and Kia will conduct a “Chuseok Special Free Inspection Service” nationwide from September 25 (Monday) to 27 (Wednesday) in anticipation of the Chuseok holiday.

Hyundai and Kia have provided this complimentary inspection service to prevent various accidents and assist customers in having a safe journey by checking the main components and functions of their vehicles ahead of long-distance travel during the holiday.

The inspection items include ▲Oil fluids ▲Air conditioning ▲Tire wear and pressure ▲Brakes ▲Status of various lighting devices, and a washer fluid replenishment service will also be provided.

Customers wishing to take advantage of this service must download a free inspection coupon from September 20 (Wednesday) to 22 (Friday) using each manufacturer’s integrated customer service apps: Hyundai ‘myHyundai’, Kia ‘myKia’, Genesis ‘myGenesis’.

Afterward, Hyundai customers can receive the inspection by presenting the free inspection coupon at any Blue Hands service center nationwide, while Kia customers can visit direct service centers or AutoQ without needing a separate coupon on the day of service.

In addition to the free inspection special service, Hyundai will also offer a ‘Highway EV Care’ free service at the Geumsan Ginseng Land rest area during the Chuseok holiday period.

The Highway EV Care service utilizes Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) rapid charging technology, allowing Hyundai and Genesis electric vehicle customers to charge 20 kWh of power—sufficient for around 100 km of driving—while also providing services for replenishing washer fluid and tire pressure.

This service will be available for southbound traffic from September 27 (Wednesday) to 29 (Friday), and for northbound traffic from September 29 (Friday) to 30 (Saturday), and can be utilized by applying on-site at the rest area.

Representatives from Hyundai and Kia stated, “To assist our customers in having a safe journey during Chuseok, we have arranged this free inspection service. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance inspections to ensure the safe driving of Hyundai and Kia customers,” they said.
