Hyundai Santa Fe Launch Shuts Down Website: A Historic First

The Santa Fe has brought Hyundai Motors to its knees.

The Hyundai website has been experiencing server crashes throughout the day, all due to the newly launched fifth-generation Santa Fe. Since the launch, consumers have flocked to the site, resulting in unexpected downtime. This is a first in the history of Hyundai.

After the estimation service started on the 16th, the website went down. Users faced continuously popping up messages saying, “Please wait!” without being able to proceed with their internet browsing. Additionally, clicking on the Santa Fe estimation service prompted a message stating, “This service is currently not available,” and the function failed to operate correctly.

Currently, the Santa Fe estimation service is temporarily stable; however, intermittent messages saying, “This service is currently not available” still appear. The website’s server remains unstable.

Hyundai Motors is feeling optimistic about the situation. This marks the first time in the company’s history that their website server has gone down after a product launch. The new Santa Fe has transformed from an urban SUV image to a robust off-road SUV. Everyone is watching to see just how much interest customers will have in this newly revamped Santa Fe.

The fifth-generation Santa Fe has moved away from the urban SUV image and is now specialized as an outdoor-focused off-road SUV. It borrows design elements from the first-generation Galloper and has substantially increased in size compared to previous models. The new Santa Fe comes equipped with various convenience features such as second-row power seats, software wireless updates, dual wireless smartphone charging, and a multi-console box.

The pricing has been set as follows: 2.5 Turbo Exclusive at 35,460,000 KRW, Prestige at 37,940,000 KRW, Calligraphy at 43,730,000 KRW, 1.6 Hybrid Exclusive at 40,310,000 KRW, Prestige at 42,790,000 KRW, and Calligraphy at 47,640,000 KRW.
