Kia Launches Comprehensive LifeCare Program for Its Customers

Kia is launching a new LifeCare Program to take expansive responsibility for its customers’ everyday lives beyond just their vehicles.

This newly introduced LifeCare Program is designed for all customers who are members of Kia, providing coverage for damages incurred in daily life, including driving, recreation, and travel. The program will offer eight types of care: Driver Care, Financial Care, Golf Care, Outdoor Care, Bicycle Care, Traveler Care, Family Care, and Pet Travel Care.

‘Driver Care’ is a program that supports costs related to damages incurred in the event of a traffic accident, including accident processing support funds, lawyer expenses, and car accident fines.

‘Financial Care’ provides support for existing loan repayments up to 100 million KRW if they become difficult to manage due to death or disability resulting from a traffic accident.

Additionally, there are programs like ‘Golf Care’, which covers injuries sustained while golfing; ‘Outdoor Care’, which covers injuries during leisure activities like hiking and camping; ‘Bicycle Care’, which protects against accidents while riding a bike; and ‘Traveler Care’, which covers injuries sustained during domestic travel.

Moreover, the ‘Family Care’ and ‘Pet Travel Care’ programs will be available by the end of September, providing coverage for family members or injuries that pets may sustain during domestic travel.

The LifeCare Program can be subscribed to by any member of Kia via the Kia or Kia Membership websites or the ‘My Kia’ app, and payment can be made using Kia Membership points.

The coverage from each program is valid for one year after subscription, and detailed information can be found on the Kia Membership website. (*Coverage scope and limits may vary by chosen type)

A Kia representative stated, “With the launch of the new LifeCare Program, we have expanded our benefits to focus not just on vehicles but on customer-centric benefits. We will continue to work on providing diverse care programs in the Kia Membership that satisfy our customers.”

Since 2018, Kia has been operating programs such as the K-Style Care+ (Plus) and EV Safety Care, which guarantee vehicle damage repair for new car customers under the Kia Membership Care Program.

The ‘K-Style Care+ (Plus)’ covers exterior vehicle damage repair within one year of new car purchase (from the delivery date), and ‘EV Safety Care’ guarantees support for the difference between the new car price (including subsidies) and the total loss insurance payment, as well as ancillary costs, if a total loss occurs within one year of purchasing an EV (from the delivery date).

Additionally, Kia Membership offers various membership programs based on vehicle type, allowing for point accumulations ranging from a minimum of 50,000 to a maximum of 1 million, depending on the type and number of purchases. Accumulated Kia Membership points can be used for various services related to vehicles as well as at various lifestyle partnership points, including movies, dining, and gas stations.
