Unveiling the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid: Performance Meets Electric Efficiency

Porsche unveils the new Cayenne’s top-tier model, the ‘Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid’, which boasts significantly enhanced electric range and performance.

The ‘Turbo E-Hybrid’, strengthened for everyday usability and driving dynamics, is equipped with a 176-horsepower electric motor and a extensively improved 599-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Together, the two powertrains deliver a maximum output of 739 horsepower and peak torque of 96.87kg∙m. It accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 295 km/h.

The new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid offers a longer electric driving range and shorter charging times compared to its predecessor. It’s fitted with a 25.9kWh high-voltage battery located below the vehicle’s floor, enabling an all-electric driving range of up to 82 km (based on EAER City standards). Despite the increased battery capacity, the new 11kW onboard charger reduces charging time to just 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid comes standard with advanced adaptive air suspension featuring new 2-chamber, 2-valve technology. This system individually adjusts the rebound and compression stages to enhance comfort and security while expanding the spectrum between comfort and sports plus suspension settings. It enables confident handling during dynamic cornering, promotes comfort during low-speed driving, and minimizes pitch and roll. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is included as standard, while Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and rear axle steering are available as options.

Both the SUV and coupe versions of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid reflect the characteristics of a top-tier model, featuring distinct front-end styling typical of turbo models, highlighted by large cooling air intakes decorated with shining black airblades. The arch trim and exterior color of the rear bumper further underscore its performance-focused nature, complemented by brushed stainless steel twin tailpipes and eye-catching red brake calipers.

Inside, aluminum inlays on the dashboard and door panel trims emphasize performance further. The roof lining is covered with race tex. A heated GT sports steering wheel, a mode switch for quick and precise selection of desired driving modes, and leather sports seats adjustable in 18 directions come standard. Alternatively, customers can opt for comfort seats adjustable in 14 directions.

Additionally, the new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid includes all the innovative features of the newly launched Cayenne from earlier this year. This incorporates a curved standalone cockpit design with variable display options, a newly designed center console, and an optional display for the front passenger. The innovative high-resolution HD matrix LED headlights also come standard, enhancing stability and comfort in darkness.

The German market prices for the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid and Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe start from €176,324, including VAT and country-specific special specifications. The model is expected to be released in Korea in the first half of next year.
