Audi Korea has launched the plug-in hybrid model, ‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium,’ starting sales from the 7th.
‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium’ features an intelligent drive system capable of predictive operation, offering longer driving range, excellent fuel efficiency, and dynamic engine performance. The addition of the plug-in hybrid model to the modern, elegant, and sporty design of the ‘A7,’ which has been loved by many customers, strengthens Audi’s eco-friendly electrification lineup while expanding options for consumers who prefer large imported premium sedans.
‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium’ is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline direct injection turbocharged (TFSI) engine and an electric motor, producing a maximum combined output of 367 horsepower (252 horsepower from the engine and 142.76 horsepower from the electric motor), and maximum combined torque of 51.0 kg.m (37.7 kg.m from the engine and 35.69 kg.m from the electric motor), demonstrating dynamic driving performance. Together with a 7-speed S Tronic automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive Quattro, it offers smooth gear changes and excellent stability.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.8 seconds, and the top speed is 210 km/h (safety limited). The combined fuel economy, based on combined engine and electric motor usage, is 15.7 km per liter (14.6 km in the city, 17.2 km on the highway). When driving on electric power, the energy consumption is 3.0 km/kWh (2.9 km/kWh in the city, 3.2 km/kWh on the highway), and the driving range on a single charge is 47 km (44 km in the city, 51 km on the highway).
‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium’ offers three driving modes that can be set depending on the driving situation. The first driving mode is EV mode, where the vehicle operates solely on electric power unless the driver accelerates past a detectable pressure point, and this mode is the default setting whenever the vehicle starts.
The second driving mode, Battery Hold mode, allows driving using only the internal combustion engine without using the electric motor. The drive management system maintains the battery capacity at its current level, enabling electric-only driving over a predetermined distance later. The third mode, Hybrid mode, allows for an efficient driving experience by utilizing the interaction between the electric motor and internal combustion engine to minimize overall fuel consumption.
The exterior features the S line exterior package as standard, enhancing the dynamic and sporty appeal with sophisticated design elements like the front bumper, rear bumper, diffuser, front grille, and twin tailpipes, complementing the elegant body design.
The interior includes natural fine grain ash inlays, black headlining, and an electrically adjustable steering column, creating a luxurious and refined cabin atmosphere. Additionally, 20-inch 5-double arm style wheels and a panoramic sunroof showcase Audi’s signature sleek and futuristic aesthetic. The leather seats, embodying Audi’s high-quality craftsmanship, come equipped with various features such as ventilation in the front seats and heating for both front and rear seats, while door entry lights, ambient lighting (multi-color), and ceremonial functions offer a sophisticated impression while providing comfort during travel.
The ‘HD Matrix LED headlights’ equipped on ‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium’ deliver higher brightness than regular LEDs, with densely arranged beams that boast a wider field of visibility, and incorporate Audi laser light visualized in LED, further emphasizing Audi’s progressive design and elegance. The LED taillights featuring dynamic turn signals can also adjust their brightness, ensuring high visibility and safety. Other features include acoustic glass with double bonding to effectively block external noise, adaptive windshield wipers that spray water according to the blade direction for clearer visibility, and headlight washers to enhance driving safety and reduce driver fatigue.
The standard suite of various safety and convenience systems is impressive. ‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium’ is equipped with two radar sensors mounted at the rear that activate a departure warning system when objects approach rapidly from behind or when vehicles are present in the blind spot, preventing the door from opening temporarily and thus ensuring passenger safety.
The front windshield of the driver’s seat is equipped with a head-up display (HUD) that allows easy visibility of driving information and navigation directions, while the adaptive cruise assist feature eases the burden of long-distance driving for the driver and provides a comfortable ride for passengers. It also comes with front/rear parking assist, a surround view display, a 360° camera, Pre Sense 360°, a crossroad assist system, and side assist, significantly enhancing driver convenience and providing an advanced driving experience.
‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium’ features a virtual cockpit and dual touchscreen MMI navigation plus with MMI touch response, allowing the driver to control all vehicle information in an integrated and intuitive manner. Additionally, the ‘Audi Smartphone Interface’ enables the use of approved smartphone content independently through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enhancing convenience further.
Furthermore, it includes voice recognition voice control, a Bang & Olufsen premium 3D sound system (15 channels, 16 speakers, 705 watts), wireless charging, and Audi’s proudly claimed Audi Music Interface (AMI), ensuring a comprehensive infotainment system. A premium air package manages air quality through visualized information, maintaining a pleasant cabin environment and enhancing the joy of driving.
The price of ‘The New Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro Premium’ is 99,857,000 KRW (including VAT).
Meanwhile, Audi provides a standard warranty called ‘Audi Warranty’ for all Audi models sold by authorized dealers for 5 years or up to a maximum mileage of 150,000 km (whichever comes first). Additionally, Audi offers the ‘Audi Car Service Plus’ program that provides periodic inspections and replacement of consumable parts for vehicle maintenance in addition to the basic vehicle warranty service.
