Toyota and Lexus Launch Special Support Campaign for Flood-Affected Customers

Korea Toyota Motor announced a special support campaign from July 20 to August 31 for customers whose vehicles were damaged by flooding or water immersion due to the heavy rains in July. This campaign will be held at all Lexus and Toyota official service centers nationwide.

Through this campaign, flood-affected customers will receive free inspections covering a total of 14 items related to rainwater intrusion, including the engine compartment, battery, brake-related components, as well as internal and external checks of the vehicle. Additionally, a special discount of 30% on parts and labor will be offered for paid repairs due to water damage, with up to 3 million KRW in total savings. If insured repairs are needed, driver deductibles will be supported up to 500,000 KRW.

Furthermore, a repurchase program will also be implemented for Lexus and Toyota customers whose vehicles have been declared total losses due to the recent torrential rains. During the campaign period, customers purchasing new vehicles will receive support for a quick vehicle handover by September 30, and to assist with their daily lives, rental car services will be provided until the new vehicle is delivered (the schedule for new vehicle delivery and rental car provision may vary depending on the situation).

Also, for customers utilizing the leasing program of Toyota Financial Services, if their vehicle has been declared a total loss, they will be exempted from the early repayment fee on their previous vehicle if they repurchase through Toyota Financial Services.

Mr. Kang Dae-hwan, Executive Director of Korea Toyota Motor, stated, “In response to the sudden heavy rains that caused flooding damage, we have urgently established this special support campaign for Lexus and Toyota customers. Inspected vehicles require expert checks and management, so we urge customers to visit the nearest service center for their safety.”

Meanwhile, on July 18, Korea Toyota Motor also donated 100 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to aid in the recovery efforts for flooding areas across the country and assist those affected, showcasing its commitment as a responsible corporate citizen.
