Lotus Korea Launches the Exciting Emira I4 First Edition: A Sports Car for the Everyday Driver

Lotus Korea has started pre-orders for the limited-production model, the ‘Emira I4 First Edition’.

Since its inception in 1948, Lotus has showcased a 75-year legacy characterized by innovative engineering, premium technology, and the use of advanced materials, establishing an identity as ‘the car for the driver’. Boasting agile handling and captivating design, Lotus has secured a total of 7 Constructors’ Championships and 6 Drivers’ Championships in F1 racing.

The Emira I4 First Edition is different from the Emira V6, which features a Toyota 3.5L supercharged V6 engine, as it is equipped with a Mercedes-Benz AMG M139 engine. It is the brand’s first vehicle to incorporate an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, achieving quick and agile shifting for enhanced driving efficiency. The center console’s shift lever and paddle shifters also facilitate control, offering convenience for both sporty and everyday driving.

Delivering an exceptional handling feel and a spirited drive with a zero-to-sixty speed of just 4.4 seconds, the chassis employs an aluminum monocoque structure, enhancing body rigidity while significantly reducing weight. The suspension features forged aluminum double wishbones, allowing for the distinct handling and steering characteristics unique to Lotus.

The Emira I4 First Edition is a premium sports car designed for everyday practicality, offering customers a differentiated full-package option at no additional cost. It comes in 13 exterior colors, with 7 interior specifications available in either Napa leather or Alcantara materials. Depending on driving preferences, buyers can choose between a touring or sports chassis. Additionally, there are 3 options for forged alloy wheels and 4 caliper colors, allowing for a more personalized Emira experience.

To celebrate the official unveiling of the Emira I4 First Edition, Lotus Korea is extending the Emira pop-up exhibition, which opened last June, for an additional month until the end of August. This exhibition, taking place in the first-floor event hall at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul, features the previously showcased ‘Emira V6 First Edition’. Pre-orders for both the Emira V6 and I4 First Editions are simultaneously underway, with vehicle-related information and consultations available from professional consultants on the official Lotus Korea website.

A Lotus Korea representative stated, “Lotus strives to maintain its unique value as a ‘premium performance car’ while aligning with consumers’ lifestyle preferences and styles. We plan to open the official Lotus showroom in Gangnam by the end of September, showcasing the Emira, the brand’s last internal combustion engine sports car, and presenting Lotus’s differentiated values to customers.”

Meanwhile, Kolon Mobility Group is leading a comprehensive mobility business through restructuring and expansion based on its long history and expertise in premium automotive distribution and sales.

In May of this year, Kolon Mobility Group established Lotus Korea after entering into an official partnership agreement with Lotus, becoming the sole distributor for Lotus in the country.
