Introducing the All-New GLC: The Luxury Mid-Size SUV Reimagined

Mercedes-Benz Korea has started deliveries of the third-generation complete overhaul model of the luxury mid-size SUV GLC, dubbed ‘The New GLC,’ to domestic customers this month.

The GLC, which first debuted in 2015, has sold 2.6 million units worldwide, establishing itself as the best-selling model within the Mercedes-Benz lineup. In South Korea, approximately 25,000 units have been sold, demonstrating its consistent popularity.

First revealed to the world digitally in May 2022, the all-new GLC has been in pre-order since June and has proven its immense popularity with numbers of pre-orders exceeding expectations for the year.

The newly transformed all-new GLC boasts dynamic exterior design, spacious interior, superior driving performance both on and off-road, the latest driver assistance technologies, and a variety of safety and convenience features—all embodying the true essence of a luxury mid-size SUV.

The body of the all-new GLC is up to 55mm longer compared to the previous generation, boasting a more dynamic and powerful proportion. The side design highlights muscular wheel arches while maintaining a sleek appearance, achieving an improved drag coefficient of 0.29Cd, enhanced from the previous generation by 0.02Cd.

Notably, the interior of the all-new GLC offers ample space while striking a perfect balance between modernity and sportiness. The wheelbase has been extended by 15mm compared to the previous generation, allowing for a more spacious feel for passengers.

The trunk space has also increased by 70L compared to the previous model, allowing for a maximum of 620L when the second-row seats are folded. Additionally, a newly designed multifunctional sports steering wheel with improved switch pads and touch control buttons, along with redesigned seats that connect the headrest to the backrest, contribute to a sportier feel.

The all-new GLC 220 d 4MATIC and the all-new GLC 300 4MATIC feature a mild hybrid system that combines a 4-cylinder diesel or gasoline engine with a 48V electric system, delivering high efficiency. The 360-degree camera integrated with the “transparent hood” function provides a view of the front underside of the vehicle to the central display, assisting the driver in identifying road conditions and obstacles when in off-road mode.

Moreover, the all-new GLC is equipped with the latest version of the driving assistance system, “Driving Assistance Package Plus,” along with digital light boasting a resolution of over 2.6 million pixels per vehicle, significantly enhancing the safety and convenience for drivers and passengers.

Additionally, options favored by domestic customers, such as front seat heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel, and a winter package that includes a heated windshield washer system, are included as standard. The all-new GLC 300 4MATIC comes equipped with the Burmester® surround sound system as standard, providing a new dimension of auditory experience.

The prices of the ‘all-new GLC 220 d 4MATIC’ and ‘all-new GLC 300 4MATIC’ are set at 76.8 million Won and 87.1 million Won, respectively, with the major specifications outlined below. The all-new GLC is available for purchase at Mercedes-Benz dealerships across the nation and through the online sales platform, ‘Mercedes-Benz Store.’
