Honda’s Top Safety Ratings: A Closer Look at the All-New CR-V Turbo and More

Five Honda models achieved top safety ratings in crash evaluations announced by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

IIHS evaluates vehicles launched in the U.S. based on comprehensive assessments of crashworthiness and crash avoidance performance. In this evaluation, the Honda CR-V, Odyssey, and HR-V received the highest safety rating, the TSP+ rating, while two models of the Civic earned a TSP rating.

Notably, each model is equipped with the driver assistance system ‘Honda Sensing,’ which achieved an ‘Outstanding’ score in the frontal crash prevention category. Honda Sensing is implemented through features such as the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) with pedestrian detection, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) as part of the Road Departure Mitigation system (RDM), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

All Honda vehicles are designed with Honda’s unique ACE body structure for occupant protection in various frontal collision scenarios. Additionally, an Advanced SRS Airbag System is equipped with seatbelt pretensioners, front, side, knee, and side curtain airbags.

Meanwhile, the CR-V and Odyssey are being sold through Honda’s online platform in South Korea, with the All-New CR-V Turbo having been launched as a fully redesigned model on April 6, after six years.
