Renault Korea is conducting an immediate delivery campaign for all models in June, ahead of the end of the individual consumption tax reduction benefits.
With the end of the individual consumption tax (hereinafter referred to as ‘tax’) reduction and tax reform, a price increase of approximately 200,000 to 400,000 KRW per model is expected starting July. Therefore, Renault Korea has planned this immediate delivery campaign to ensure that as many customers as possible can benefit from the June purchase incentives and tax reduction effects.
Customers purchasing major Renault Korea vehicles such as the QM6, SM6, and XM3 in June can receive up to 1.6 million KRW in purchase benefits along with the tax reduction benefits.
For June purchase benefits, Renault Korea is offering discounts of up to 900,000 KRW for the QM6 Quest, 400,000 KRW for the QM6, and 200,000 KRW for the XM3 and SM6 as part of special promotions available in nationwide sales showrooms. Additionally, 200,000 KRW is available for small business customers as well as expanded family range benefits for repeat customers, starting from 200,000 KRW.
Furthermore, customers with a history of purchasing Renault Korea vehicles through the previous Mobilize Financial (formerly RCI) financing plans can receive an additional 300,000 KRW or a maximum interest rate reduction of 1.1% as part of the refinancing benefits. Customers purchasing vehicles under the residual value guarantee SMART program will receive an extra 200,000 KRW, totaling 500,000 KRW in refinancing benefits.
Moreover, the QM6 offers a special 60-month installment plan at a rate of 4.7%, while the SM6 and XM3 can take advantage of the lowest domestic rates with a 36-month, 3.3% low-interest installment plan.
As a result, customers purchasing the best-selling QM6 LPe RE trim in June will enjoy total benefits of 1.6 million KRW, including a maximum purchase benefit of 860,000 KRW, a refinancing benefit of up to 500,000 KRW, and an expected price increase of 240,000 KRW in July, allowing for vehicle purchases with monthly payments in the range of 100,000 KRW.
However, the versatile new concept SUV QM6 Quest, which offers benefits worth up to 3 million KRW when purchased in June, will not see any price changes after the end of the tax reduction benefits.
Je-seop Hwang, Executive Director overseeing Renault Korea’s sales organization, stated, “As the end of the tax reduction benefits approaches, customers who have been considering new car purchases for a long time may worry about declining benefits. Comparing the tax reduction benefits against the price changes set to take effect in July, it is undoubtedly more advantageous to make purchases in June.”
