Lamborghini Shatters First Quarter Sales Records in 2023!

Lamborghini has showcased continuous growth, marking its highest first-quarter performance ever.

This is an indicator of Lamborghini’s strategy and strengths, coinciding with the brand’s 60th anniversary and the launch of its first hybrid model, the Revuelto.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini, stated, “The year 2023 will be a special year in Lamborghini’s history,” adding that “these successful indicators lay the groundwork for sustainable growth, including the second phase of our electrification and carbon reduction strategy, ‘Direzione Cor Tauri’ (Towards the Heart of the Taurus), which involves transitioning to hybrids.”

Lamborghini’s first quarter of 2023 yielded impressive results in terms of sales and operating profit. Revenues totaled 728 million euros, reflecting a 22.8% increase compared to the same period in 2022. Operating profit also surged by 35.7%, reaching 260 million euros, up from 178 million euros last year.

As product orders increased, Lamborghini has secured an order bank that can sustain through 2024.

Lamborghini CFO Paolo Poma analyzed the situation, stating, “Lamborghini closed the first quarter of 2023 with record results. The strength of our order portfolio and the explosive response to the newly launched Revuelto provide a foundation for our continuous growth.”

In the first quarter of 2023, Lamborghini delivered 2,623 units, surpassing last year’s figure of 2,539 units by 84 vehicles, achieving another record in this area. The Urus accounted for the highest number at 1,599 units, followed by the Huracán and the Aventador, which was discontinued last year. The Revuelto, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model revealed in March, also boosted orders significantly.

Lamborghini is celebrating a stellar start as it marks its 60th anniversary this year. As part of its electrification strategy aimed at hybridizing its entire lineup by 2024, Lamborghini unveiled the Revuelto, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model, for the first time in the world this past March.

Lamborghini is proceeding with its ‘Direzione Cor Tauri’ strategy in three phases: dedication to internal combustion engines (2021-2022), transition to hybrids (by the end of 2024), and the introduction of the brand’s first pure electric vehicle (in the late 2020s).
