Introducing the Audi Q4 40 e-tron: A Game-Changer in Electric SUVs

Audi Korea is starting pre-orders for the electric compact SUVs, ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron’ and ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron’ for the 2023 model year.

The 2023 models of ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron’ and ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron’ are pure electric SUV models in the compact segment that Audi first introduced in South Korea last September, achieving high popularity by selling out within two months of their launch.

The ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron’ and ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron’ feature exterior designs that faithfully adopt the progressive aesthetics of the concept car, alongside ample interior space and an innovative vehicle operation system, display, and assistance systems that prioritize driver comfort. They boast sporty driving characteristics, nimble handling, and outstanding safety.

The ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron’ and ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron’ offer a combined maximum output of 204 horsepower and a peak torque of 31.6 kg.m. The top speed is set at 160 km/h (safety limit).

Both models are equipped with an 82kWh lithium-ion battery, suitable for various driving conditions, from everyday city driving to long-distance travel. Additionally, ‘Audi Drive Select’ allows customers to choose from five driving modes tailored to their preferences, providing dynamic and stable driving performance in all situations.

The front of the vehicles features a wide octagonal single-frame grille with a vertical strut that highlights the design characteristics of pure electric models. The sporty design of both models is underscored by short front overhangs, a sports steering wheel, a wide track, and a muscular body, with every line of the body precisely and sharply expressed to showcase an even sleeker design.

Premium models of the ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron’ and ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron’ are equipped with matrix LED headlights that enhance visibility for safer driving. The closely arranged beams provide a broader field of view and safety, and the ‘Digital Light Signature’ function allows drivers to select their preferred lighting design from four options.

Convenience features include ‘Side Assist’, which flashes warning lights in the side mirrors when vehicles approach from blind spots, ‘Adaptive Cruise Assist’, ‘Active Lane Assist’, and rear/front parking assist systems that aid in easier parking. Moreover, the vehicle’s turning radius has been reduced to 10.2m thanks to the advantages of the Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric vehicle platform, improving driving convenience.

With a heads-up display equipped with augmented reality, drivers can receive real-time information relevant to their driving conditions, enhancing safety and convenience amid increasingly complex road environments.

Additionally, the ‘MMI Navigation Plus’ allows drivers to manage all vehicle information intuitively, while the ‘Audi Smartphone Interface’ connects the vehicle to smartphones for easy navigation, calls, music, and more. Audi also enhances driving enjoyment with an Audi sound system and wireless charging capability.

Audi offers various services to enhance the convenience of e-tron customers. The ‘myAudiworld’ application provides comprehensive information about the vehicle, and the e-tron specific menu helps locate and reserve charging stations, check charging statuses, and integrate credit card payments for e-tron charging credit cards for outstanding connectivity.

During weekdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, the “Charging on Demand” service is available. Additionally, Audi provides a basic warranty for all Audi models sold through official dealers, guaranteeing “Audi Warranty” for five years or up to a mileage of 150,000 km (whichever comes first).

The ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron’ and ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron’ are set to be delivered to customers in August, with pre-orders available nationwide from June 19 through official Audi dealerships and the Audi Korea website.

The price of the ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron’ is set at 61.7 million KRW, while the ‘Audi Q4 40 e-tron Premium’ is priced at 68.7 million KRW. The ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron’ will cost 65.7 million KRW, with the ‘Audi Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron Premium’ priced at 72.7 million KRW. (Prices are based on eco-friendly vehicle registration. Actual prices may vary depending on final registration at launch and optional interior/exterior features.)
