Genesis GV70 Electric Model Receives High Praise from German Auto Magazine

The Genesis ‘GV70 Electric Model’ has been recognized for its competitiveness in a comparison evaluation conducted by a leading European automotive magazine.

The German automotive publication ‘Auto Bild’ recently conducted a comparative evaluation of electric vehicle models, praising the GV70 Electric Model as a ‘superior electrification system with the highest quality’ and awarding it the highest score.

Auto Bild is one of the three most trusted automotive magazines in Germany, alongside Auto Moto und Sport and Auto Zeitung, influencing consumers across Germany and Europe significantly.

This comparative evaluation was conducted across seven evaluation criteria: ▲ Body ▲ Convenience ▲ Powertrain ▲ Driving Performance ▲ Connectivity ▲ Environmental Friendliness ▲ Economy.

The GV70 Electric Model ranked first in three categories: ▲ Powertrain ▲ Environmental Friendliness ▲ Economy, achieving a total score of 603, surpassing the Audi Q8 e-tron with 574 points and the Mercedes EQE SUV with 570 points.

In the powertrain category, deemed the key competitiveness of electric vehicles, the GV70 Electric Model received a maximum score of 103 for its PE (Power Electric) system with excellent driving performance and fast charging speed, affirming its outstanding electrification technology.

In the environmental friendliness category, which evaluates environmental technology and external noise, it received the highest score of 80 points, and in the economy category, consisting of maintenance and warranty, it recorded the highest score of 79 points.

The GV70 Electric Model boasts a maximum output of 160 kW and a maximum torque of 350 Nm for motors applied to both the front and rear axles, achieving a combined maximum output of 320 kW (360 kW in boost mode) and combined maximum torque of 700 Nm, and is equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery that allows for a maximum driving range of 400 km on a single charge (19-inch wheels, domestic certification standards).

Additionally, it features a convenient and efficient 400V/800V multi-rapid charging system, a Vehicle To Load (V2L) system based on the concept of moving energy, and a variety of advanced driver assistance systems, showcasing its top-tier marketability.

The GV70 Electric Model won the ‘2022 Best Imported Car’ in the crossover SUV category as selected by Auto Bild in January of this year and has been recognized for its excellence by surpassing the Tesla Model Y in last year’s Auto Bild comparison evaluation.

Meanwhile, various electric vehicles from Hyundai Motor Group, based on high product competitiveness such as V2L functionality and rapid charging systems, are leading the global electric vehicle market, sweeping major automotive awards like the World Car of the Year and European Car of the Year.
