GranTurismo Folgore Luce

Maserati announced on June 27th (local time) that it will participate in the 11th Le Mans Classic, taking place from June 29 to July 2. This event promises an unforgettable experience for those who love classic cars, vintage ambiance, and the timeless allure of racing vehicles.

As the birthplace of the spectacular and thrilling Le Mans 24 Hours, and one of the world’s premier endurance racing venues, Maserati will showcase unique classic models and vehicles with distinctive style and design.

Additionally, a lineup of modern vehicles ready to tear through the legendary curves of the Circuit de la Sarthe will also be displayed.

The Le Mans Classic is an event for the most beautiful vintage cars, gathering enthusiasts, racers, and collectors from around the world every two years. Maserati will serve as a sponsor for the 2023 event, featuring around 500 classic cars. As always, the racing models will include original cars that participated in the Le Mans 24 Hours from 1923 to 1981. Many cars that have written unforgettable chapters in the history of one of racing’s most revered and loved events will also be present.

With over a century of history, Maserati boasts an iconic car collection that has become the dream of enthusiasts across generations. At this event in France, the 1961 Maserati Tipo 63 will be on display. Only five of these cars were produced, outfitted with its signature ‘Birdcage’ chassis and a V12 engine. Additionally, the 1974 Maserati Bora, known for its strong power and sporty design, will be showcased, featuring a popular mid-rear engine.

Alongside the beauty of the past, the GranTurismo One-Off Luce will shine as a true piece of art and declaration showcasing Maserati’s future. This car is equipped with a fully electrified Folgore engine and will be displayed alongside a bespoke orange glow MC20 Fuoriserie super sports car tailored for the most challenging sports.

In a special area set aside for constructors, a well-known 1962 Maserati 3500 GT with a touring body will be exhibited. This model, with 220 horsepower, was the successor to the famous 6-cylinder racing car of the 1950s, surpassing speeds of 230 km/h. Furthermore, the GranTurismo One-Off Prisma, featuring a thunderous Nettuno V6 engine and a futuristic body color, will also be displayed, representing the essence of Italian craftsmanship.

The Maserati fleet, consisting of the GranTurismo Trofeo, Grecale Trofeo, MC20 Cielo, and MC20 Fuoriserie, will take to the track for unforgettable hot laps on a course exceeding 13 km. These laps will occur alongside classic car races, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy the thrill on one of the world’s most prestigious tracks in Maserati’s modern vehicles.
