Revolutionizing Mobility: The Future of the Electric Vehicle Expo

Chairman Kim Dae-hwan emphasized, “The Electric Vehicle Expo is not a motor show, but a B2B business forum.”

The International Electric Vehicle Expo Committee held a press conference for the 10th Electric Vehicle Expo at the Jeju International Convention Center on the 2nd.

Chairman Kim noted, “When we first held the Electric Vehicle Expo, many worried if we could even overcome Hallasan. However, the technology surrounding electric vehicles has advanced remarkably over the past ten years.” He continued, “It has already been 11 years since we started with the slogan Carbon-Free, and next year we will change the name to e-Mobility Expo.”

He also mentioned, “For the first time last year, we received support from relevant departments such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, which established a business networking opportunity.”

In response to reporters’ comments about the absence of car brands participating, Chairman Kim clarified, “This is not the concept of a motor show; it is a B2B business expo.” Additionally, he added, “It’s similar to the Davos Forum in Switzerland, where we focus on Carbon-Free in Jeju and conduct a business forum.”

Furthermore, Chairman Kim expressed, “Through the Electric Vehicle Expo, we aim to transform Jeju into a leading startup city driven by the young talents of South Korea.” This highlights the reason for the existence of the Jeju Electric Vehicle Expo.
