Cadillac Lyriq Launches in Korea: A New Era of Electric Luxury

Cadillac has decided to launch the pure electric vehicle Lyriq in Korea in the second half of the year and has begun recruiting subscribers for a special newsletter.

The Lyriq is an iconic model leading GM’s electrification strategy, and it is the first model born on the advanced next-generation electric vehicle platform ‘Ultium’ that embodies GM’s 112-year electric vehicle heritage, dating back to the production of its first electric truck in 1912.

Unveiled first in North America, the Lyriq features a large 102kWh battery composed of 12 modules and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system equipped with dual motors, delivering a powerful performance of approximately 500 horsepower and a maximum torque of around 62 kg·m. According to Cadillac’s own testing, it boasts an impressive driving range of about 494 km (based on North American certification) on a full charge.

The Lyriq’s iconic black crystal grille harmonizes with slim vertical LED headlights, showcasing Cadillac’s next-generation brand styling most clearly while expressing a unique EV design through its vibrant lighting performance.

Meanwhile, Cadillac plans to unveil a trim strategy that takes into account the high-level needs of domestic consumers regarding luxury EVs. Through the special newsletter, they will be the first to provide various information related to the products to be introduced in Korea, marketing activities, and future release schedules.
