The ‘KG Mobility Tuning Festival’ concluded successfully amidst much attention.

This year’s ‘KG Mobility Tuning Festival’ was held from May 3rd to 5th at the 1st exhibition hall of the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul. After a fierce pre-judging process, a total of 25 businesses and individuals participated, including tuning companies, customizing enthusiasts, and camping and automotive accessory vendors.

The event showcased high-level dressing ups that expressed diverse personalities in existing products and tuning products that maximized usability for various environments, attracting the attention of visitors interested in tuning, camping, and outdoors. It also hinted at the growing interest in the expanding tuning and camping culture.

On the last day of the event, May 5th, the ‘Excellent Tuning Car Awards’ were held, divided into two categories: business tuning and customizing tuning, conducted via votes from a panel of journalists, general visitors, and online voting. In the business tuning category, Skullguard, which showcased the authentic off-roader concept of the Rexton Sports, won the grand prize (3 million won), followed by Jintek Korea, displaying the outdoor camper concept Rexton Sports, which won the excellent award (2 million won), and AutoCamp, which exhibited various motorhome concepts using the Rexton Sports, winning the merit award (1 million won).

In the individual customizing tuning category, Mr. Park Chan-young, who showcased the authentic off-roader concept of the Rexton Sports, took the grand prize (3 million won), Mr. Bae Hyun-soo showcased the Rexton Sports modified with a deck and rooftop for camper use, earning the excellent award (2 million won), and Mr. Kim Jae-seok, who maximized usability as a camper by adding another deck to the Rexton Sports, secured the merit award (1 million won), thus concluding the tuning festival in style.

KG S&C and KG Mobility selected ‘tuning partner companies’ based on a comprehensive evaluation based on business potential and product commercialization for the tuning companies that participated in this festival. Selected companies include ‘Primo’, ‘Roadtrip’, ‘AutoCamp’, and ‘Dongbu’, and tuning partners will receive benefits such as priority product commercialization reviews and support, promotion through KG Mobility’s social media, showcasing at KG Mobility dealerships, and support for exhibiting vehicles at the Seoul Auto Salon.

Additionally, KG S&C, a newly launched subsidiary of KG Mobility, will begin developing and selling customizing products, expanding into the special vehicle market by modifying vehicles produced by KG Mobility. KG S&C aims to leverage KG Mobility’s unique strengths in developing tuning cars while also contributing to the expansion of the tuning industry.
